Maria Palmieri explains how to properly weight shift in Salsa dancing by using your center weight and moving as one piece. This is so you can feel light on your feet but also using the floor and feeling grounded at the same time. She shows the importance of stacking the spine but get a more lifted feel. You will be able to understand how to add Hip motion in your Salsa basic with energy and using the floor to feel grounded and get quicker.

This is excellent. Are all of these concepts applicable for salsa on one as well? I't trying to learn both at the same time.

I just started learning salsa and this lesson was very helpful! Really in depth explanation and slowly enough that I could follow it. My problem is that my hip feels very immobile. when i do these pressing down move and moving my hip back i can feel my joint in the hip thats in front doing the step jumping from one place to another. so its not a smooth movement. (not sure if this is a good explanation, I'm from Germany). Maybe you have a tip for me? That would be really nice!!
