Great intro video. I've played AOEII back in the day and I just got around to beating AI in hard mode so I would not say I'm a total beginner. However, I've learned quite a bit here. One thing I think is worth mentioning even for beginners is that whenever you buy or sell in the market, it's not a 1:1 trade. As you buy or sell more of the same item, it appears you get less and less. For example, you may get 95 food for 100 gold at first...but then it can drop of to something like 75 food for 100 gold. I'm not sure if it's just a function of how much you're flooding the market or other factors as well.

Can you maybe tell what is a good amount of workers to stop? I come from StarCraft 2, where the perfect worker count most of the time is 66/200 supply. I can see you like to create workers from 3 TCs non stop, which makes sense for a long time to boost economy, but I find it hard to imagine that more than 50% of your max supply is reasonable to cap out with workers, since it will limit your max army supply. So if you have any advise on what is a good amount, I appreciate it :)
As a general rule, its usually half the total population, sometimes more. For AOE4, give it time and let the pros sort it out.

Hey! iam not that RTS pro but played starcraft,command and conquer and stuff. But in AOE4 i struggle to Win even against mid-difficulty enemies. I feel always a bit behind. Maybe you can make another tutorial video for more advanced tactics :D Great channel and gameplay btw. And sorry about my english :D cheers!

How do you make a control group with your army to separate them? You show you can do lots of things but not actually how to do them.
Select them, and his control + whatever key you want them tied to

Great vid. Question, I just bought the game and started out on the Learn. I noticed I had to create a scout and there is no sheep like you are showing. Do you know why?

@@michaell7877 Ah, so that is probably a tutorial. If you just do single player, skirmish vs AI on easy, it will be same as mine

@@michaell7877 So only mongols can relocate buildings! Otherwise, you have to select the building, and delete it :( Cheers dude!
How do you remove control groups?
I would like to request, maybe you could break this video down in two parts. For me anyway, you move your mouse way to fast, and speak to fast. slow it way down, and call out all your keyboard hotkeys. I am sure there are players who would be okay with what I request. Now the question is, would you do that?
How does one remove units from an army group
anyone know how to remove units from a control group?
I usually just redo the group without said unit selected
*side note* I believe only one bowman builds the ram.
AoE Veteran here, and great vid! I am about halfway through, but my 8ish friends and I have a question and I was wondering if you could shed some insight into this. Cavalry charges w/lances. What triggers the lance vs the sword? Is it time, distance? Would appreciate if you know anything and share good sir. Thanks!
