I totally understand the culture shock, Because my parents have the same issue too I grew up in Canada over 30 years but my parents are from HK. I also worked in HK for couple years too. To us, the gender thing to us really doesn't matter My parents still cannot accept this gender culture, and felt weird. And I am a private Animation Instructor also. but to me is more like, if we get it wrong, will ask them how do I pronounce them especially this generation So nowadays, some of my friend will identify everyone as "it" when we talk. So, I wish both of you having a great and fun time living in Canada. PS. I do know how to read chinese but just dunno how to type. XD

現在温哥華失業率都高，full time 係難揾嘅！揾份part time 賺住温哥華經驗先啦，再慢慢揾份full time。好多新移民都係咁！
啱👍🏻有時要逐步逐步嚟，有part time起碼有啲收入
哈哈……我試工一日，之後介紹我入去做嘅人，佢比人勞役到暈底左入左醫院。大家剛到加拿大，見到份工作唔對路，真係要馬上走人，搵多份Part time好過比同一間公司當你奴隸獸。
PS 個份廚房工嚟，2：00pm to 2:00am,30分鐘食飯時間，我做左一日已經感覺到唔對路，無再做落去，如果我當時抵諗少少捱落去，我可能就做左下個入廠嘅員工😂
