Hello, @Priya Sekar . Any menstrual pain, light or strong, is never normal: you too shouldn't suffer with it, because "stomach aches, leg pains and all ..." can be avoided and a lot can be done for this.
I'm a nurse, since a lot of years I've been studying the severe menstrual pain, unfortunately very diffused and some easy methods to prevent it, instead of fight it or suffer unnecessarily.
We can speak about, if you like: I'll glad to help you to transform " those days" into "normal days".

I used to buy the stuff for my sister and half sister. A lot of my male friends were embarrassed to go and buy pads. I told them that it's nothing to be embarrassed about as in the future they may have to buy this stuff for their wives. Never understood why buying pads was seen as such a taboo thing. Tip for getting out of bed without leaking... roll on your belly to the edge of bed. Take the knee closest to edge and try to touch floor. Now the other leg. Use arms to help stand up.
Another tip... if you know you're close to starting, always sleep on towel.
I have also used puppy puds. Its similar to what is used after labor to protect bedding and cheaper.
I have extremely heavy periods due to pcos. Luckily they only last 3 days tho.
