    I think you need to make a series for this. For players that have the most points (according to your points system) that weren't 1st pick.

    • @rocketfighter8
      @rocketfighter8 Год назад +1

      @@galmlrssg210 Nope, it's Bill Russell:
      11× NBA champion (1957, 1959-1966, 1968, 1969)
      5× NBA Most Valuable Player (1958, 1961-1963, 1965)
      12× NBA All-Star (1958-1969)
      NBA All-Star Game MVP (1963)
      3× All-NBA First Team (1959, 1963, 1965)
      8× All-NBA Second Team (1958, 1960-1962, 1964, 1966-1968)
      NBA All-Defensive First Team (1969)
      4× NBA rebounding champion (1958, 1959, 1964, 1965)
      Also the NBA finals MVP award was first given out in 1969 (Russell's last season) so it will have to be taken out of the equation. He most likely would have won it 11 times if they had it sooner. That's why it's called the Bill Russell NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Award even though he never won it. Same goes for the NBA All-Defensive teams which were first awarded in Russell's last season. Russell is regarded as the best defensive player in NBA history.

    I Love the work that went into it, but I think the criteria should be different. A regular season MVP should have more weight then a Finals MVP. One is rewarded for a good series where the other is rewards for a season long performance.
    You have Finals MVP's who didn't even make the All-star team or All-NBA team that year. Regular season MVP should def be weighed the most. Love the content though !

    It would have been more accurate if you removed the all nba 3rd team since it was only introduced in the 90s.
    A multiplier on the championship points should also been done. For example, a starter level player in a championship team should only get a percentage of the total championship points as well as for the 2nd options, bench warmers etc. or for players who won championships wherein the total teams are only in the 10s range or 20s range.
    Just imagine if Horry was a 1st pick then he should have at least 21 points based on your category.

    In my opinion, there should be some bonus for winning an accolade for the team that picked you in the draft (as they are the ones who spent a number 1 pick on you). Also, I really find it not fair at all giving points for MVP and FMVP, but totally ignoring that the ones that finished 2nd and 3rd on those accolades, also had almost as good performance as the one that won. Yes, it's not winning, but for example, the both times Magic didn't win FMVP, he deserved it just as much as they one that did. There should be some points (maybe half the points or something like this) for making 2nd and 3rd in those accolades, just like there are points in finishing in the 2nd all NBA team.
    Counting those, I'm pretty sure Magic and Duncan give much harder fight to the top 2. And if you also count "points per season", Magic for me is the best number 1 pick ever.
