I grew up in Detroit and was sold on Motown atrists and hits. I am afro-american and Duran Duran along with the Pet Shop Boys made me appreciate english groups. Loved the Beatles but this tune the 'reflex' is one of the best songs I ever listened to. The Lyrics and Simon's singing is incredible.
Yeah it's crazy to think that those violinists probably weren't even born when this song came out back in 1984. Haha. But the band still sounds pretty good & great music never dies.
I love how much energy Simon brings to their live performances. So many singers just mail in live performances (like just holding out the mic to the crowd half the time.) He absolutely rocks it.
At the time of the Pop Trash tour, I remember reading that Simon took naps in the afternoon so that he would be fresh and energised for each performance - that's respect for the fans :)
Some of the fans now were probably conceived while Duran Duran was playin in the background.. EMBRACE the 80's greatest decade rock has known since the 50's...
i highly desagree when someone says he or she wishes was born in the 80s cause there was duran duran, they really dont know that this guys were around in the 90s and 2000s making good music
