In the top left bar that you have after making the triangle, where you can change the color, line thickness etc., theres an input field calld "area" (or something similar, mine is not in english).
If your rectangle is not filled, this field is filled with white with a red line through it (the "symbol" for "nothing").
Click on that and select a color
