- I head back to the construction site for the UK's tallest roller coaster - Hyperia where I have so many updates to share with you! From the majority of the roller coaster track being completed, the rides lift hill track arriving to the construction site, loads more landscaping and even more work on the rides station and gift shop!

Amazing update Jack! One of the issues with photo and video is they dont show the scale, but this video captured it brilliantly, and holy crap is it big!

I got to see this coaster today to France from the motorway and its absolutely huge, I can't wait to ride it when it opens

Looks great, and im so glad they're sorting the burger king area as well. When you pan round you can see how tired it now looks. The only shame is that we're losing a fully themed area (all beit tired) to a steel-box area instead which is a shame.
I can't wait to see this ride done

i still can't process the sheer scale of this ride, saw it on my way to legoland and oh my gosh. I cannot believe that this is in the uk, let alone, thorpe park. people are planning to travel across the world for this ride, and its 45-1h 30mins away from me. i feel sick in excitement!

Thanks so much for the update Jack! :) I’m so anxious excited for the next one because the beginning of the lift hill seems so imminent. I actually can’t wait 😂 but honestly the fear is setting in now, it’s going to be massive and I’m reminded just how scared I was to ride saw because of the vertical lift hill. I’m going to rely on the excitement of watching this construction to get me onto the coaster honestly.
Side note I thought it was interesting seeing all the changes in the park behind the balcony too. I guess I never noticed before.
Also I’m so excited for the trains to arrive they must be getting there soon with the ride so close to being complete.
I have some questions if you have any time either in the comments or in the a video.
1) do we know if we’ll have a fast track available to buy for hyperia? It’s going to be so hard to get on the ride without one 😅
2) you said during a livestream that you were planning to do a series on project sparkle but it seems like it’s a bit late for that, unless you’ve been keeping one under wraps, is it possible to throw in a little bit about the park as a whole into one of these updates if there’s any time?
Imagine if they do a coaster build Timelapse like the swarm and u just see Jack walking round every couple seconds 😂

I'm going to marathon Hyperia during a week day once it's fully established, maybe June or July
it might even open on the parks reopening day
it won't, Thorpe have confirmed it will be around May. Since they still need to rebuild the lake, test it, add queue and exit, and finish the photo area/ station.

Is it just me who feels like they've been a bit slow since they came back after Christmas? With the progress they were making at the end of last year, I was expecting construction to be finished by now. Is the bad weather the reason for the slow progress?
Yeah definitely part of it, it's been windy the past month so obviously not ideal for installing high pieces

we are 90% there now plus is there any news on slammer yet thought that's why black mirror is not opening this year
black mirror isnt opening because they lost the licence to it (they signed for 3 years). slammer will leave Thorpe in 2025.

I'm not being negative but with what is left to build and the testing procedure I cannot see this ride opening in less than 6 weeks. I would love free to happen and it would be awesome but I just cannot see it as the testing procedure will take time
they never planned to open the ride on opening day, its not humanly possible to build the ride that quickly
