It's been my experience in Europe that the buses are never on time unless you're running late for one. Otherwise you're standing on a sidewalk for half an hour, so bring a book either hard copy or on your phone with you.

When do people typically study abroad? I’m a senior in high school this year, and I’ve always dreamed of going to Italy, but frankly the whole idea of it kinda scares me and I’ve already been accepted to colleges for the fall semester and I don’t want to back out of them now. I don’t think it’s a good idea to just take a random impulse and go study abroad right now, but I want to so bad.

Did people use backpacks or totes as a school bag? I'm nervous to use my backpack (I'm going to be abroad in Milan!) because I don't want to get pickpocketed and am thinking of getting a tote?

Did you feel safe walking around?🥲 I leave to study abroad in less than 2 weeks and I’m super scared for that

Yes! I felt really safe. You will be great. Be smart about where you go and try to travel with a friend if you can and learn how to use the public transportation. learn how to get a taxi for when you need to get a ride and are not comfortable waiting for a tram or a bus. Have fun!!!
