France 2024-03-22: Packrafting Bas Guil (Pont du Simoust - Mont-Dauphin)

Packrafting the lower part of the Guil river (class II (3)) in the French Alps. We put in at Pont du Simoust in Guillestre and paddle through Combe de Mont-Dauphin to the confluence with the larger Durance river. After having arrived at Durance, we continue on the latter to Embrun.
Right before this packrafting trip, we did a physically strenuous 5-day snowshoeing / bivouacking tour of the nearby Queyras mountains.
