I think the reason this game is so satisfying to watch is that you don't have to find somewhere to put all the dirt you are digging out. Imagine if we could do that irl. There would be holes everywhere, lol.

I would dig an inclined spiral around the edges. Much less need for a jetpack that way. As long as the incline never gets too steep you can always just walk you way back up.
