I do feel like one thing that was done better back in the day, as you mentioned, was how people took their time releasing projects. It seems like so many come out with material way too fast versus letting it marinate. I'm so glad that people have more access to the tools needed to record, but some need to slow down and, like you said, focus on quality over quantity. What makes Prince so great is that he had A LOT of projects, but they were high quality as well.
