It is music like this that makes me ENJOY being a musician myself. I hear music differently than most people. Music IS truly Livin' Thing that lives and breathes with It's own energy, intensity, and life. It truly comes from the Heart and "Soul".
You know... it's funny when you actually pay attention. When you take care of words passing by. It's the same old song, but with a different meaning now that you've gone. That is the kind of moment I'm having, it's magical. It's the sort of day I'm having, it's magic. Attention is something you pay, and care is something you take... but love, love is given.
Love this song, it always reminds me of my teenage years and of a girl I should have tried much harder to make my own, however I recently hooked up with that very same girl...after 40 something years!!! :)
Funny how the World turns. You were truly meant to be with her. It can be said that the Creator had other ideas in that respect and caused your paths to cross again. You are both very fortunate.
Now who wants homany and onions guess I'll take what ever he is having and don't you talk dirty to me well me is one thing my friends now they I care to much about to let um worry 4 me
“It’s a living thing It’s a terrible thing to lose It’s a givin’ thing What a terrible thing to lose.” There has been much speculation about the meaning of “Livin’ Thing” (1976), with a widespread yet unfounded rumor claiming that it was an anti-abortion statement. Well, ELO’s frontman Jeff Lynn stated that it was simply about the loss of love. The song (from “A New World Record”) featured uncredited vocals by Patti Quatro, Brie Brandt and Addie Lee, who were all one time members of the rock group Fanny. According to Suzi Quatro (Patti’s sister), the trio performed the “higher and higher” parts. Interestingly, “Livin’ Thing” returned to a Billboard chart in 2017 (over forty years later), as a result of its featuring in Volkswagen’s “The New King” commercial. Fueled (pun intended) by its use in the ad, the track entered the Rock Digital Songs Sales Chart❕ As the saying goes, IT’S NOT OVER UNTIL IT’S OVER‼️ 💚🎼💙
I thought ELO never have a number 1 song on the Billboard Top 40 Singles. But it is number 1 song, Living Thing for the week of January 22, 1977 as I listened to to Scott Shannon’s American’s Greatest Hits on WOMC, FM-104. ELO does have their first song, Showdown in the spring of 1974, but failed to get to the Top 40. ELO’s Top 10 songs are: Evil Woman, Strange Magic, Living Thing, Telephone Line, Turned To Stone, Sweet Talking Woman, Don’t Bring Me Down, All Over The World, and Xanadu (with Olivia Newton John). Their first Top 10 song by ELO is Can’t Get It Out Of My Head which peaked at number 9 on the Top 40 Singles back in February 1975.
It's a terrible thing to lose and when you do you not only give to a world without love but also to a line that Greedy feels is worse than Lusty giving us all just two Who from all of my experience can't Handle a Little Anger and The Two Dogs Which if there were any mistakes to be made Gave Till They Couldn't Give Anymore , my heart doesn't rely on my children for what is A Lesson In Humility it is depending on them to keep his Very Big Head staring at what is a very good place to dig yourself a grave , and just deep enough to say to them Is Worth It , we can't be joined at the hip but there are some things that will have us together and they rely and depend on us keeping most of the greedy and lusty people honest about a Mind and Tricking them into to bed with it , our Wits Are Formidable and Do Have to work tirelessly with a Body which says Your Out Of Your Mind , we don't waste a single second on why it's bending way over backwards to pursuade Otherwise because That Would Be Something We Wouldn't want our worst enemies Fucking With and they know it's A Terrible Thing To Lose ! .

I came up with it. I do write poetry but I might have been making this a poem, it's been 2 years.
The last line is a mantra of my invention.
