I’m in Mount Juliet TN about 90 minutes away from you guys. I have numerous Refuge Medical kits and I would be grateful for the opportunity to show you why they’re the best if that would be of interest to you. I appreciate the work you’re doing to build up a strong citizen defense force and medical is greatly overlooked.
I can confirm what@@Stryker_Cade is saying. Refuge medical is a small but fast growing company that is taking the industry by surprise. Also, the way the company is organized and operated is impressive. This would be a great strategic partnership, especially in these times. Cheers guys.
Why black gloves? They should be white or that baby blue color, for example . Blood is a lot more difficult to see from a blood sweep on black gloves, especially at nite .
I concur with Refuge Medical having great kits. I have many. The Opfak is a great belt kit. I wear my ankle kit daily. Great stuff and the best customer service. They also have a lifetime warranty on the bags that are made in OK, USA, and they replace any components used to treat a casualty. 👍
Grab a single 5.56 insert from spiritus systems and cut a velcro loop flap to cover it. It fits compact chest seals, wound packing gauze, and bear claw gloves in a pretty small package.
Refuge Medical makes a superior ankle kit that is way more comfortable and holds a good amount of stuff. Literally forget that it’s on my leg every day.

Great review and comparison… I have had the LTC for awhile but never fully satisfied with its size and exposure. I think the #1 issue is knowing/finding what specific contents fit best for the kit - especially what it is designed specifically to carry.
Warrior Poet Society kit is a great option. Going on three years daily wear and still holding up strong. I do think the original fill kit it came with (including a flat-packaged trauma bandage) fits the kit better than the rolled trauma wrap that I see on the table in the video.
Cool kit but I still want a good ankle EDC. The warrior poet one is good but they used nylon for the outer half of the pouches instead of elastic which was a huge L
Have you heard of Refuge Medical? Amazing kits, MADE right here in the USA, not just assembled. I have a few of their kits, and they rock. Their founder, TJ Morris, said the same thing about kits being attached to you. Oh, and the kits are organized by the MARCHe algorithm. PS: I've heard their training is incredible, but I haven't actually made it out to Oklahoma yet for one.
I have their basic kit and it came nicely vacuum sealed with all of the contents. I just wish they didn't seal the cat tq in the bag while its still in its packaging. Meaning you have to open it to stage your tq properly.
Would you recommend smaller items for edc (4" trauma dressing, mini chest seals, I know there is small tq but can't remember the name) and full size items on a plate carrier/chest rig or can you get by with the smaller items for a "preparedness" situation?
Worth considering a flat pack disposable cpr mask. They arent amazing, but theyre miles better than going straight mouth to mouth, a basic filter to stop yourself getting all kinds of potential illnesses.
Let's turn off comments because we straight up jacked from a company like @livethecreed is so sad man. U guys only make 1 good product and that's the dump pouch because arisaka makes ur light bar lmao. I will not support this sad
SWAT-T is useful as it's very flat and works on kids and animals, but CAT's do have a long track record of working on 'most' adults...well, western adults that at not child-sized malnourished.
Sorry, but the Med-C I picked up from you feels like I'm sitting on a brick. I certainly can't fit it in my skinny jeans! Dark Angel works really well. And it makes sense to keep it in a zip lock to help preserve the contents. Cowboy jeans won't even work with the trex arms med-c. PLEASE MAKE IT SMALLER!
I carry one of those old school "bandage, triangular, muslin" we used to get issued in the army. Can be used as a sling, tourniquet, and several types of bandages. Not the best thing but it's small enough that I actually carry it everywhere and it's definitely better than nothing
If I were shot and a guy ran up to me, then got on one knee and pulled out his ankle med kit, I wouldn’t die from the bullet; I would die from laughter.
Why risk your life on cheap medical gear that will fail you when it matters the most? Im also a huge fan of Refuge Medical. Quality stuff in an area of focus where going cheap can kill you. My $0.02
I carry only refuge medical truma kits they r medical professionals & they train ppl & all their kits are 💯 American made & tons r military carry there Turma kits. There bearfak covers all the M A R C H E FOR MEDICAL CARE & THEY TRAIN ON IT & KIT U SHOW I HAVE THAT IN REFUGE MEDICAL ANKEL KIT & FOR BELT I HAVE THEIR OPFAK. I can also use all refuge medical stuff 1 handed
I showed a WPS ankle kit, the goal wasent to show every single company, just different styles of EDC pouches. For the MyMedic, I was speaking specifically to the MOLLE on the pouch. Not sure how talking about MOLLE has anything to do with respecting anyone

Black is more cool 😎
tan Bear Claw glows are my current favorite.
Also, if you wear blue bystanders consider you a medical authority and are more likely to move out of the way, help, and take orders

Duct tape, McDonald's straw, and a beer in a Kroger's bag. Don't need no fancy pants kit.

Same!

Highly recommend learning about vitals and anatomy. Makes trauma calls much easier and patient assessment. Gives the PT higher chance of survival
I've been very pleased with the med kits ive bought from Refuge Medical. I actually had to use the Bearfak to treat a serious dog bite.
Id really like to see how these medkits fit in Lucas' jeans
not much problem for lucas's stretch jeans.

Good vid, and I appreciate that you addressed the LTC issue as we've all seen the posts surrounding these pouches.

Thanks brother! Taking video with me traveling abroad!
Chapters on this video for the different products would be awesome!
If you're issued a molle pouch for work, Molle Sticks are a cheaper way to modify your pouch to be removable.
Refuge Medical is the best in the industry hands down, no chinesium garbage. All the other comments show people are up to speed which is fantastic.
What about the refuge medical sob kit??
Really need to check out Immediate Casualty Care
There product is USA made and is a great price and super comfortable to carry a full size IFAK in.
@@benjohnson5552 nice! Haven't heard of them. Refuge Medical is USA made too. And not just assembled here. Great kits.
I carry a CAT7 tq on me, that's it. Chest seals, more tourniquets, gauze, wraps, gloves, flashlights, etc all in my car.
I've used tourniquets several times IRL, saved a couple lives with them. Other things you can improvise with- tourniquets, not so much.
Cool kit but I still want a good ankle EDC. The warrior poet one is good but they used nylon for the outer half of the pouches instead of elastic which was a huge L

@vaderbean1 hmm. When did you get it? My last 2 didn't come like that... Also, what kit? The BearFak?
@MiscMitz last month and it was the bleeding prevention basic kit
@vaderbean1 oh, yeah. The BPK does come like that. I don't have that kit yet though. Lol
I can tell you the training is absolutely worth it and beyond any other

Worth considering a flat pack disposable cpr mask. They arent amazing, but theyre miles better than going straight mouth to mouth, a basic filter to stop yourself getting all kinds of potential illnesses.
Mouth to mouth is no longer needed. BVM mask would be more beneficial then a CPR mask. We don't use them on PT anymore.
Nice Galaga shirt 😎
I need a sidecar holster adapter for that pouch
