fun fact about phatmojo, this isn't the first time phatmojo has used fan designs. before rainbow friends, phatmojo made merch for bendy and the ink machine. one piece of merch was a collection of 4 mini figures. two of the figures were a variation of bendy and alice angel. the bendy figure was a design from the music video for build our machine albeit with some features removed. and the alice angel figure was based off of a fanmodel for alice angel at the time. of course the rainbow friends thing is pretty different considering it seems roy deliberately used the purple design for the toy. but its still worth knowing that this isn't the first time phatmojo has used fan designs for toys.

Fr, I don’t know why, but I just never liked Rainbow Friends and feel like it was so overrated. I’ve tried to play it and probably played a max of 10-20 rounds at *most* and that’s with how many times I’ve played both chapters in total, not just one of the chapters. To me, it’s pretty boring. At least with games like Piggy (when it was still active, and more around Book One) they had consistent updates, kept up with communication if an update was delayed and had posts just interacting with fans in general. On top of that, I remember them often having events, bringing in new skins, and had a good story overall.

The only time we only see the character called “purple” in the game is when he or her is only in the sewer thing and the arms in CH 2 and the jumpscare and not a long extended purple character. (Allegedly, im not a lawyer also any “fanmade” characters can belong to the community and devs if the artist didnt install rights with the fanmade character.)

So the people that made the toy may have just seen it come up when they searched "Purple Rainbow Friends" and then made it, because all the official designs are just hands and eyes.
