Whoever designed that display did a simply beautiful job, ive never seen such a variable and fast firing show. The music fit with it too hahaha. Also I don't know where you people are getting the $3500-$10000 ticket cost, but it's $575 plus $140 per vehicle, easy internet search. It'd cost you a good portion of that to park your RV in several parks in my state of CO for 8 days lol. They also sell 5000 tickets for $225 to people who can't afford to spend more. I've never been to this and the party drug scene would be quite the turn off to me personally but if you're into it that's really not a bad price, people pay that amount to see 2-3 hour concerts
Yeah, I've got low income 3/4 years, for 9 days it's pretty reasonable. Even a camp site costs money. But I won't deny there's a big investment to be comfortable, however as an avid camper/backpacker I had a good amount of equipment already. It's not all techies and bros lol, I guarantee that

And there are a range of different camps, which range from interested in and not interested in drugs (including booze).
It's been sped up. Look in the background you can see burners moving around. I went in '99 and 2000, changed my life for the better. It is physically demanding and I knew it going in. If you go, go with others who have gone before you. Consider it the World's largest open air Art Opening and dress accordingly. Have an open attitude and you'll do fine.

Oh all these people sure look like they are suffering from the rain and mud. My niece is at the festival and she is having a wonderful experience. Seems there's a lot of caring and loving people there.
It amazed (but also didn't surprise) me how many people online talked about desperation, panic, evacuation, etc. But with just a few clicks, we could see videos made by people actually there. The overall message from these people with real knowledge was, "It's muddy, a little dirty. Things have changed a bit, but that happens every year. I'm making even more friends. It's great!"

That's covering everything from foods to gear for travel and camping. But the most important thing is the weather. It will make or break you if you don't seek vital information about the weather patterns. The way we saw how the area got mucked up from the storms.. maybe it shouldn't be held on a dry lake bed but rather on granges near mountains with other ways of transportation or hiking out with resources of water,trees, plants. We know it's all about dropping everything to go and join the fun but you all have to be sure that it'll be safe, reassured, and knowledgeable about where you're going and how far.. "no such thing as bad weather, it's bad gear"

Burn night was postponed until Monday, so, yes, many left since they would have left after Burn on Saturday through last official day on Monday. Many had wanted to stay, but could not swing the extra time. It was AMAZING live. Jaw dropping!

Almost everyone stayed: 65,000 out of 70,000 stayed. That's 91%. And the vast majority of people do not pay $7,000. Most pay, for everything, less than $2,000 for an entire week.
