It's possible that the first short G chord Malcolm plays on the main riff has the A string blocked as well. More videos: Solo tutorial ruclips.net/video/6XnSevzfEkw/видео.html 2:06 excerpt taken from ruclips.net/video/wSnUMjUYemU/видео.html
People think this song is simple. It is with the cord structure. The difficult part is playing dynamics. If you have ever been in a school orchestra or marching band you know what I'm talking about. This is rarely if not ever talked about on RUclips, and it's more important than the notes themselves. If all you do is play hard and loud, on a song like you shook me, your blowing it big time. The opening should be played with finesse and feeling at a medium soft volume. If you read sheet music and most guitarist can't. All these little nuances are written in with the notes. On every song ever written, it's all there. If you can't read it you need to put on some really good studio quality headphones and pay attention. Sorry, didn't mean to go off here. I just found this channel by accident. When the instructor started talking about how the opening should be played reminded me of band class in middle and high school where these accents ie dynamics of playing notes was pounded into our heads. That is what separates a professional player from a player. This is what wins band competitions. It's what wins battle of the bands.
It's guitarists like you, who put in the work and share their intricate knowledge and study of songs, that help all of us struggling players improve. Thanks man. , much appreciated. 😊
Let's get Andre' more money on his patron page. It is very reasonable, I give him the most, $5. He has been around for years, look on daily motion site for some of his old lessons. He is truly amazing. He had to take a part-time job. We need him around teaching us music for ever.
Thank you Andre'! Great lesson I really appreciate it. Trying to get this with one guitar is difficult. One of the greatest rock roll songs of all time!
I absolutely love the way you've broken this down. This is the closest I've heard to the way Angus and Malcolm play this song. There are so many tutorials out there which are incorrect. I agree that it's the little things that they do which create the AC/DC magic. I'm more of a rhythm guitar player, so I really like to emulate some of the things that Malcolm did. I play a lot of AC/DC, but this one just didn't sound quite right when I played it. Now I know. Thanks for the tutorial.
Yes, very cool. Somehow I managed to find out how Angus plays his intro part, but Malcolms intro part was a total surprise for me. But it totally makes sense, i had to take away a few decibels on the Malcolm intro part on my last cover attempt since it was too dominant and overpowering Angus' part. Well, this shows one more time that it's actually NOT easy to play AC/DC.
Very great video. Thanks. Which sound settings do you use: amp, pedals? I feel there might be a tremolo or a delay on top of the overdrive in the intro. Is that true?
@@themasterbeaty3916 I don't think so, the bass only comes in just before the chorus and then into the second verse. It's just guitars and drums for most of the first verse

Wow, very impressive analysis of the entire song down to the most minor detail! Much respect🎶
The realization that malcolm strummed the entire chord during the chorus blew my mind. Your attention to detail is immaculate

Thanks!
Well done, buddy, well done! I’ll Start working on this today.
Could you make a video about the AC / DC sound, I mean how to get it in an uncomplicated and affordable way, also divided into Angus and Malcolm?
Malcolm: Gretsch duo jet, 12s with a wound g, J Rocket 45. Angus: SG, slinky 9s and a JRockett 45. Easy.
best video on the song so far
Thank you Andre'! Great lesson I really appreciate it. Trying to get this with one guitar is difficult. One of the greatest rock roll songs of all time!

Hey man, you really know the instrument very well. I can play, but I don’t have the knowledge behind it all like you. Very good video.
Amazing breakdown of extra details in this song! Now I just need to apply these skills to my guitar playing!

Congratulations. Could you do Rock 'n' roll singer next?
good
Thanks very much for this tutorial. Could you share your amp settings to get the tones, please ?
Thanks
I honestly can't remember, sorry. but will depend on gear. I set it up as I go, there is no "fixed" setting for me
Very great video. Thanks. Which sound settings do you use: amp, pedals? I feel there might be a tremolo or a delay on top of the overdrive in the intro. Is that true?
I used a Solodallas Stormpedal for Angs parts, thats all. Amp is a Marshall plexi copy
Nice job . Brothers play two different parts on guitar which is very distinctive. Nobody plays verse correctly. If interested I’ll show you
I’d love to know tbh😅
👏❤
Can u show what Malcom does during the solo
Watch the video from rock roll hall of fame
He plays it a little bit different
Intro Angus
Not bend the 3 he hammer on 3-4
Oh yeah he changed it a bit live
tu pega uns negócios da gravação que eu acho que ninguém nunca percebeu slk
Thanks. Didnt find any mistakes. Awful crime
Is the G chord after the C chord without the B note on the second string ? On the video with Angus it looks like with the B note.
Yes B note there I think
Could the sound of the "B" you are hearing in the main verse riff just be the bass guitar?
@@themasterbeaty3916 I don't think so, the bass only comes in just before the chorus and then into the second verse. It's just guitars and drums for most of the first verse
What model guitar is that?
Does it have a wider neck than normal?
Gibson SG Standard 2013, slim taper neck, regular 1 11/16" nut.
Gretsch is a G6566T-CB, not sure what the neck specs are
please, gimme some more thumbs, need to post 10 thumbs up for this video. thanks!
You are the true guitar lesson God!!! If I was gay I'd ask you to marry me! 😂
Thanks haha
