In this video I am going to carry out a replacement of the faulty Sat Nav unit in my BMW E65 7 series.

Hey I order the same piece and it’s the sat nav module. Radio came right on. So could you recommend a place, I could order one with the newest maps to go with it?
I ordered mine from a guy parting out an E65 on Facebook. I paid £75 GBP for mine but I already had a 2018 disc. The discs are available direct from BMW dealers for around £60 GBP. Check out my other video where I change my Nav module out for the replacement 👍🏻

Hello do you have a vid showing the replacement of the Diversity Antenna of a 2008 750LI?
Sorry mate, no I don't, it isn't something that I have had to replace.
I sent mine out for repairs as it somehow quit working. I've got it back, got it in but no lights have come on. I'm unable to input the disc because there are no light indicators or sounds coming from it. Any suggestions??
My first suggestion would be to ensure that there is power going to the unit. You can determine this with a multimeter at the power plug.
Wow BMW DEALER told me that old Navigation unit may not work. They also told me that some one have to “Flash it” Whatever this mean🤷🏻♀️. So I ordered used one and hoping it will work for my 750Li BMW 2008😊
Hi;i have the same problem with my nav. unit. it works ok maps on MMI come without any problems, all the rest units work ok, but when i connect inpa, or Reingold, the fault said: can"t found navigation unit MOST fault. any idea what can happen, thanks
Not sure, if you are still getting maps then you have a different fault. Are you getting audio?
Yes all works fine,i can send you picture of faults, from reinghold.

I was wondering if you can tell me how can I deactivate my SAT NAV as is draining my battery. It starts herself suddenly I can hear the disc runing inside. Is there a fuse or something i can take off?
If you remove power from the unit then you will lose all of the other systems that reside on the MOST circuit. Your best bet would be to bypass it like I did in my other video until you can get a replacement 👍

My unit it is all fine. I m just trying to get rid of sat nav consumers so I can see if that's my issue with battery drain.
Do used Navigation units require any programming?
This did not require programming, plugged it in and it fired into life straight away!

You dont need to take the trims off to remove the unit, the screws are on offset bracket, remove the four screws and the unit can be taken out. Great video though.
My cars satnav remains on even if the car is switched off. Is that normal.
I've not seen that happen before, it isn't normal, no! The vehicle electrics usually remain active for approximately 3 minutes, this however is normal. The iDrive system screen usually shuts down however.

BOBBY oh I see! Do you mean permanently on? Like it will never go off at all? If so this is causing a large drain on your battery!
@@KevsShed yes that's exactly what it's doing and battery drains within a week.
