- Astra Lumina in Los Angeles. We're always told to reach for the stars, but what if the stars could reach for us?
The stars are descending from the night sky. Set off across mysterious grounds to discover a celestial pathway of lustrous light, cosmic visions, and astral song. Immerse yourself in illuminating encounters of lighting, projection and sound, and connect with the stars before they return to the sky above.
Astra Lumina at South Coast Botanic Garden is the 17th experience in the Lumina Enchanted Night Walk series.
Astra Lumina LA welcomes you to an extraordinary place, a garden right here on earth that shares a special connection with the sky above. Come nightfall, the garden sets the stage for a phenomenal event: a visit from the stars.
Stargazers set off across the garden’s celestial pathway to encounter the wonder of the stars and embrace their own human light. As the night unfolds, these luminous orbs regenerate, rise, and reunite in the night sky, to shine brighter than ever before.

Is this better than decanso gardens?
That's a tough one. I really enjoyed both. Astro Lumina is more of a out of this world experience (I called it almost "spiritual.") The lights are presented in "shows," which last 3-5 minutes each. Descanso is equally as beautiful. You can't go wrong with either one. Descanso has great food and beverage options and free parking. I would say it depends on where you live and which is closer.

It opened last week. Tickets are on sale for dates though the end of the year.

You can find FEVER promo codes online. These can save up to $9 for Astra Lumina. Google "Fever Promo Code." Parking off-site will save money as well. Weeknights and later time slots are a bit cheaper as well.
Also, check out Imaginarium at Fairplex in Pomona. This is a great family event. They offer weekday family four packs for $92 (plus fees). Lightscape at The Arboretum is Arcadia offers Family Four packs for as low as $80. This is a fun event as well!
