I have a 2001 MB S600 Lorinser. Leak seems to be in back of engine. How do I know if it is the oil cooler or rear main seal or just the valve cover gasket? It was a slow leak in valve gasket and then one day last week, drove like 2-3 miles and needed qrt of oil. Then another 2 miles or so and it told me to STOP in RED and get to dealer...
Hi, I am currently following your videos in order to replace the oil cooler in my 02 cl600. I am having trouble disconnecting the exhaust manifold from the cats because I am unable to get a wrench in there to unscrew the bolt. how did you do it? thanks
I have an oil leak and after putting dye in the oil it is coming from the connection of the oil cooler and the oil filter housing. I could have purchased them separately but their a 2 different size gaskets for the 2 oil lines and it was cheaper to buy the whole unit already put together. My problem is how to remove the old oil filter housing. It has a very large nut at the bottom 34-38mm. Impact sockets are too thick to get in their. Is their a special tool needed to remove the oil filter?
I have a 2005 Mercedes sl600 that is hydrolocked from oil being too full. It had 2 extra quarts of oil in it. it took about a week to hydrolock. it just started loosing power all week. very slow. then it finally locked. im going to take the plugs out and get the oil out. hopefully there is no damage. is there anything I should look for? or check?
HI, hey i did a Tune Up to my Mercedes 2006 C350 and after i was done i took it for a test drive and starting to lick oil not sure from where but, when i got home all the Oil was gone. I checked the Bolt under need and is tie up. but i believed it came out from the Top cap of the Oil filter, now the car feel's like is miss faring kind shakes. not sure if the ruined the spark plugs, the coil's or the engine. if you can help me. thanks you,
what is the name of that oil gasket? My 02 CL 600 is leaking oil coming from what looks like the driver side fire wall? .Then it looks like it coming from around the pcv valve hoses. But basically in that area. I just cant seem ti zero out the true culprit.I don't see any engine plugs back there. And i just finish install abc pressure hose line on my car> the Abc system just buck danced on me . front right side accumulator went out and one of those hose lines attached to block. Along with rear right accumulator and hose that connected to it. Sys is fine now just banging out the two code that came after the installment. Now i realized that i've always had this mystery oil leak i just didn't really feel like locating. Cuz once you find issue it must be resolved or the car will go into limp mode.
Mercedes does not sell both needed gaskets. You must buy a new oil intercooler. This video does show this yet. The new oil intercooler has a better gasket material and is install ready. This is a very expensive job as you must remove the heads . Terrible place to put the oil intercooler. Expect to pay .10k 12k the intercooler is 45o$
James Bond make sure you follow my video step by step, you need to remove the tensioner first to gain some slack, after that you should be able to remove the sprockets off the camshaft, make sure you follow the timing marks as I show on one of my video, sign up to my channel and you'll have all the videos to watch. Good luck

I will check my car this weekend.
I noticed oil coming from the area of th lift pad passenger side. I might only have about 500 miles since the last oil change.

This V12 is pre turbo right? The newer M275 engines still have this type of internal cooler? I can't find that info anywhere. thanks for posting.
