Happy Thanksgiving. Glad to see you back and best wishes for your family. Yes, that evacuation was something else. I am in Key West, and in retrospect we could have stayed and have in the past, but my husband has a heart condition now and we just could not take the chance staying when they shut the hospital down. We left on Friday morning and went to Baton Rouge -- closest LaQuinta we could get for the dogs. After we saw the NOAA map on Monday or Tuesday and saw our house was undamaged, we enjoyed the rest of our involuntary "vacation." Was nice to be back in the Bayou State for that short time. Hope your home and property fared well, and hope your furkids made the trip ok.
So glad your house was okay... looked like the Keys got the worst of it here in the States. So cool that you made the best of it and enjoyed a little down time :)
Glad to see you back, I'm in Indiana and both my parents had heart surgery at St. Vincent, they are amazing. between both parents illnesses over the years I've spent literally months sleeping in those waiting rooms. looking forward to hearing more about all your great new adventures .
