How and why would you penalize someone for accidently wrecking someone when they are racing for the same real estate on a track?? Now if someone purposely and with malice wrecks someone for example the Hamlin situation that is where a penalty is warranted. I think these drivers know the difference however guys like Busch whine because other drivers always get the better of him in aggressive situations.
I think having his son racing has opened his perspective and RC has told him he has the opportunity to be a leader in the garage as his brother and Harvick were going into their retirments.

Although I didn’t miss a minute of the 2012 Daytona race that ran from Monday night into Tuesday morning thanks to Juan Pablo Montoya and the jet dryer. That was awesome to watch.

I agree with Kyle all involved cars go to back. We have done that at both short track I have flagged for the last 27 yrs and that cleans up alot ofcthe racing and fewer guys having to rebuild their cars for the next week

I’m the rule book they changed the rule. The rule no longer says intentionally which means any sort of contact or spin can be a penalty. Which means him saying he intentionally did it means nothing. Nascar can pick and choose who they penalize and hat contact they enforce.

One more thing stage racing is good but don't stop for a caution just keep them going they have ways to tell where everyone is on the track at the end of a stage . They can have last lap of stage race with a blue light under caution light to let drivers know you have one lap to go to earn stage points

It's funny coming back to this and seeing just how much worse it's gotten since then. With the Elliott Suspension, the war on Hendrick, and so much more it's clear Elton Sawyer needs to be gone. It's hard to take the results of this season serious anymore. This was the last thing Nascar needed after the controversy last season with Byron not getting a penalty, drivers with illegal cars being allowed their wins back and the Chastain wall ride at Martinsville.
The Clash wasn't a points race, Kyle. This isn't apples to apples. I would not want any points penalties issued during any exhibition race that aren't tied to an egregious safety violation.

The crazy part with Hamlin’s deal is nobody wrecked. No caution. No other drivers involved. They self policed, which is what NASCAR says it wants.

It's funny coming back to this and seeing just how much worse it's gotten since then. With the Elliott Suspension, the war on Hendrick, and so much more it's clear Elton Sawyer needs to be gone. It's hard to take the results of this season serious anymore. This was the last thing Nascar needed after the controversy last season with Byron not getting a penalty, drivers with illegal cars being allowed their wins back and the Chastain wall ride at Martinsville.

The Clash wasn't a points race, Kyle. This isn't apples to apples. I would not want any points penalties issued during any exhibition race that aren't tied to an egregious safety violation.
