I know it’s been awhile since you posted this vid, but the eye symbol your looking for is often referred to by two other names. 1st.) Evil Eye. Which is in her 2008 edition, but without an illustration. 2nd.) This symbol originally was derived from Horus’ Grandfather if you will. It originally was the Eye of Ra. Since it symbolizes the sun which overlooks and see all over the earth, Ra was originally the “sun god”. He was later pushed aside to the more popular “sun god” Osiris. Even Osiris can claim inheritor of the eye symbol. Although this is but brief. I just checked the 2008 edition again. Although this addition once again does not have an illustration I noticed the author referenced the eye of Horus in 2 more places. 1.) under all seeing eye, 2.) under eye in the body section. I hope this is helpful and not an annoyance.

    Horus's eye fundamental symbolism...
Horus's eye (Wadjet) symbolise the black sun, the portal where the soul (soul aka invisible sun at night/winter) wanders between consciousness (night/winter) and the physical universe (day/summer). Using the analogy of the physical solar cycle, Horus's eye is spring and autumn equilibrium, where the sun leaves - or arrives in the winter. The winter half is a metaphor for the non-physical universe "consciousness" or "the other side" to use a modern term.
-The black sun later became the term Amun (the hidden one "sun"), which today is the term Amen in the church.
-In the east, the black sun was expressed with a 3rd eye, or the bind dot in the forehead.
-Horu's eye later became the all-seeing eye, the symbol of enlightenment (illuminism).
-The snake (Naga) is a symbol of the soul (soul / the invisible sun at night/winter) which is often seen stapled on the tear duct in Horus's eye, to show that through it the soul is wandering (the one who will not set any footprint in the physical world).
It is also here the concept "star gate" origin from.

In the index, can you search a symbol by it's association. For instance, could I look up "envy" and find all the animals/colors/plants that symbolize that?

Unfortunately no, but that would be super helpful for this book! I believe my copy is an older version of this book so I'm not sure if the newer one is different. Maybe it has an index like that? I doubt it though 😅

is there a difference between the 2008 and 2010 version?

Im assuming there is a difference between the two versions. The last time I saw it at barnes and noble it was thinner compared to my copy. I'll try to find out more about this

I have the 2008 “The Element Encyclopedia of Secret Signs and Symbols” by Adele Nozedar. Although similar It is much different in presentation compared to the book shown in this video. There seemed to be more illustrations in the one for the vid which when I looked it up online had a date of 2015. The 2015 book is very colorful based on this video. The 2008 copy I have is black and white illustrated with occasional red colored page breaks with a few topics. Plus I noticed it contained an index. In fact based on this video I just ordered the one shown. That’s all I know for now.

I heard, that there are some (a lot?) of inaccuracies in this book? After I saw your book many many videos ago :P I did take a look at it, and ended up with the Penguin Dictionary of Symbols instead. Which has NO pictures, just words. Like a dictionary (duh). I am watching now.
