1:25 Amazing that so many buildings in this photo still stand today. Far left, the movie playing at the theater is Vigil In The Night starring Carole Lombard. That building is still there but no longer a theater. Past that, the building with the double arched window cutouts, still there, plus the buildings past it. Above the brick building that has the sign CONOCO on it you can see the cupola of the County Courthouse....still there. On the right, the building with the dome is Silverton City Hall, which still stands, as does the building directly in front of it as seen from this image. The photograph was taken on Greene Street at the intersection of W13th street. 2:50 Now a parking lot. 😢
7:55. Notice this old photo of Australia’s postal delivery that it has ‘Royal Mail’ on carriage. This was only a year before this country left Great Britain’s government. Thanks again Time. Great video! 😊
