I think this song describes Beck's feelings for Jade perfectly b/c he loves everything about Jade and seems to be one of the only people that sees past Jade's surface to the person she actually is and he loves her. Even when they are broken up he watches her and he never stops loving her.
I think it better describes Tori's feelings for Jade cos he's always apologizing for her and trying to change her and whenever they're broken up he acts like a big baby for a while until Tori steps in and they get back together but she acts like the song says around Tori and Tori's the only 1 who's seen her completely with her defenses down and Tori was the 1 she went to when she was crying over Beck. And unlike Beck, she never gave up on her and accepted her for how she was.

But I took off my favorite black and purple striped sweater because it was really hot, then he took off his sweater which was black and white striped and tossed it next to/ on top of mine, then, I can't remember why I had scissors with me, but I tossed them on top of the two sweaters, kind of connecting them.
