This is a fictional story based on the lives of two real-life Indian freedom fighters, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. While they never met in person, Rajamouli imagined what might have happened if their paths had crossed and created a fictional narrative around that concept.

I may be a Hollywood fan, but this movie managed to win my heart. My list of favorite movies may be full of Hollywood movies, but this movie managed to be number one on my list. Don't ask me why. There is just a strange magic that made me a prisoner of the screen for three hours, during which I did not blink so as not to miss the pleasure of that moment.
Yes, actually Bheem is a representation of Hanuman in this movie. Another reference is when Bheem took the Heart shaped pendant of Sita to Ram. The same way Hanuman carried ring of Sri Ram to Sita Mata when she was captured in Lanka.
This movie is actually inspired from 2 freedom fighters of Telangana, Alluri sitharamaraju and komaram bheem .❤
And last song was dedicated to our freedom fighters 🔥
Alluri sita ramaraju was from Andhra Pradesh... and komuram Bheem from Telangana.. both are our Telugu freedom fighters❤.

And that shoulder scene is copied from real life hero and warrior Jaimal Rathore and Kallaji Rathore 🙏🏻 from ( Mewar, Rajasthan ) you can search about them they exactly fight in same way in a war huge respect for them ❤😊 You can also see this scene in serial "Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap" in episode number 456 and one more scene is copied by S. S. Rajamouli in movie "Baahubali: The Beginning" that last war scene red blanket fire scene is also copied by another great warrior and friend of Maharana Pratap ( Veer Punja ji ) in episode number 517

That bike scene, where Bheem kicked and flipped it...,it was actually possible....during those time Britishers manufactured local parts (stainless steel) which is light, non-rusty and easy to carry in different parts of INDIA through FREIGHT TRAINS...due to our diverse geography. That BIKE HARDLY WEIGHS 55- 65 KG ....
I don't think they are that light. One of my relatives had one bullet from those times and it's far more heavier than modern day bullets.
And there's really no point in finding logic behind the action scenes of this movie. It's over the top and made to be enjoyed in the same way.
@@gkscharlie6826 definitely it's no logic action....but your relatives must have had the bullet (after independence)....before independence the bullets were made by british and search (Royal Enfield flying flea) it weighs only 56kg...its the same bullet used by british indian soldiers in world war 2. After 1947, Nehru commissioned the bullet to indian army soldiers...because he have seen that these bikes are durable,lightweight and easy to travel in high mountains...after that, each year modifying...the bullet at present becames heavier bcoz of over the time using good quality iron and adding multiple CCs

A few comments on the movie on details you might have missed:
1) The bridge-rescue scene forshadows the movie! Akthar/Bheem is rescusing the kid (he is on the mission to rescue Malli), while Ram is holding the flag (his mission is rescuing the country) and dipping it into water (remember: Bheem is Water!) to do so.
AND: They have to swap their missions, to be able to succeed!
2) Right after Bheem fights the tiger he is dressing up as a muslim (white cap and necklace with muslim text/symbols). Ram knows these dress codes and recognizes Akthar as Muslim. When Bheem is rescusing Ram from snake venom, he sees Akthar briefly praying at a Hindi althar. For Ram, THAT is the moment he starts to get suspicius, which gets confirmed when he sees the holy thread.
3) The vertical line drawn by someone on someone elses forehead is a blessing: Sita does it in Rams home village, and blesses him in the name of mother Godevari (the river goddess of that part of the land). Bheem does it in the climax scene in the forest, and blesses Ram in the name of Lord Rama (which seems to have made him an incarnation of Rama for the following action).
4) ALL animals in the movie (except the horse in the Dosti-Song (friedship montage AFTER the bridge scene) were CGI, even the horse on the bridge!
5) Watch some of the behind the scenes and making off videos. It is unbelivable how much of the movie is CGI which you don´t recognise as such.
6) Telugu (the language of Tollywood movies) is spoken in Andhra Pradesh and Telengana.
Alluri Rama Raju (after Sitas death Alluri Sitarama Raju) was a real freedom fighter from the region of Andhra Pradesh and was born 1897, fought from ca. 1919 to 1924, when he was killed.
Komaram Bheem was a real freedom fighter from the region of Telengana, born into a Gond tribe in 1901, was a freedom fighter from about 1919 to 1940, when he was killed.
The people in the song at the end were freedom fighters from other regions of india:
- Subhas Chandra Bose (1897 - 1945) from Bengal
- Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (1875 - 1950) from Gujarat
- Rani Kittur Chennamma (1778 - 1829) from Karnataka
- V.O. Chidambaram Pillai (1872 - 1936) from Tamil Nadu
- Bhagat Singh (1907 - 1931) from Punjab
- Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu (1872 - 1957) from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana
- Varma Pazhassi Raja (1773 - 1805) from Kerala
- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (1630 - 1680) presenting Western, Southern and Central India
7) Jennys last scene in the movie was planned to be helping Bheem with the plans (showing him the map) to free Ram. She was added digitally for the reuniting scene when the truck reached Rams people, and also in the end song, because the british actress thought it was the right thing to do and wanted to be part of it. SS Rajamouli was very positively surprised and happily added her to these scenes.
8) The dates and timeline of the movie are not representing the real world on purpose:
- After the flogging of Bheem, when Ram reiveves the letter, in which he is chosen to escord the next rifle delivery the date is February 23th 1921. But this isn´t possible, because the event of Ram defeating the indian Mob at the Anangpur Police Station takes place after the leader Lala Lajpat Rai was arrestet in Calcutta, and this was on December 3rd 1921.
- The map on the wall (in the scene where the case of the "tribal criminal" was discussed and Ram came forward to take the task of finding him) showes a world map, and all british colonies are represented with the british flag: Belize (a british colony) doesn´t has one, but Brazil (which never was a british colony) has it.
- Almost all cars shown in the movie are models that were made in between 1930 and 1940, the truck, in which the animals were brought to the party, is a sowjet truck from the 1960s.
RRR is taking place in a fantasy alternative reality to our world.
9) The motorcycle that is thrown by Bheem in the final fight only weights about 55 pounds. His strength if superhuman, but not as much superhuman than you might have thought.
10) The beat that Ram used on the metal pot to get the attention of Akhtar, when Ram was poisened, and the beat Bheem used to find Rams solitary cell is the same Ram started the Naatu Naatu (Desi Natch) dance battle with. This beat was THEIR beat.

Aroonsi is actually correct Bheem represents Hanuman in fact him carrying Ram in his shoulders is a direct inspiration from Ramayan where Hanuman carries Lord Ram and Lakshman in his shoulders + there are many other scenes which are direct metaphors to Ramayan in the movie.

@@ChaatNChat Fun fact:- Bheem in indian epic "Mahabharat" was one of five Pandavas (like significant male leads) & he was human/demigod form brother of Lord Hanuman (as dharma-peeta or heaven father of both is Wind god pavan) and he took Strength teachings from hanuman for purpose of getting ready for Mahabharat war.

Ram Charan is son of Chiranjeevi, a very famous actor in 90s and 2000s. Junior NTR is Grandson of Senior NTR. Senior NTR is great actor, very much revered by Telugu audience, and given a god like status during those times. SR NTR was also chief minister for Andhra Pradesh for many years.
Aroonsi’s point about Hanuman is quite interesting. Shame i never thought about it. Hanuman is also called Pawanputra (son of wind/wind god)

and Bheem from the Mahabharata is considered Hanuman's younger brother - both are sons of the God of Wind - Vaayu
SS Rajamouli has this habit of fictionalizing and combining two real life characters that never was part of the original story. Like he would do a movie with Ram and Bheem as friends instead of Ram and Hanuman , or Krishna and Karna as friends instead of Krishna and Arjun.. etc . That’s a very innovative way of thinking.

Bheem and Hanuman have the same godfather - "Pavan" or 'God of Winds'. That makes them god-brothers. In the Mahabharat, Bheem was tested and then blessed by Hanuman before the grand war.
Hindus believe Hanuman is one of the 8 divine immortals still roaming the Earth.
