      CHI let Drummond go without getting anything in return, even though they had the ability to pay him, since they owned his Early Bird Rights. Why?
      Andre can still rebound and score inside of 10 feet. His FT shooting was up to 59% this past season.
      But I watched Andre many times on League Pass. His defense has declined since playing for Sixers.
      I've seen his feet glued to the floor. Fans need to be warned.
      Yes, he's better than Paul Reed in that he should be about to play over 30 min per game when Joel is out, without fear of getting into foul trouble.
      But Paul Reed is still more valuable over all, but was always going to be a PF - Unfortunately Nurse lost the opportunity to play BBall next to Joel.
      Even Morey said on RTRSanchez that Reed was worth his contract and will have a long NBA career.

Maybe some of us don't like that foulgrifting shit where he throws his body at defenders trying to get a bullshit call from a dumbass ref, but that's about the only gripe I have. @@Byronic19134 Yeah I consume a lot of that area's media so I can have a POV on if fanbases are into their stars or are a bunch of bandwagon braindead fucks, like the people in Los Angeles are...
      I have heard the complaints about Maxey not getting enough whistles. I watched that series and was pretty damn annoyed at how partial they were to Brunson (who I'm not a huge fan of as far as foulgrifting flopping nonbasketball moves) and Maxey was getting roughed up with no calls. I definitely side with the Sixers fans on that one.
      I recall getting pissed when either Maxey or Brunson would just run into Derrick White and Jrue Holiday, who I (and many others) consider them in contention as the greatest defensive back court EVER. They can certainly defend those two players although Maxey is harder in the open court given that he is probably the fastest guy in the entire league? But he can he defended in the half court, if the refs aren't dipshits. Then again, we can all agree that refs are morons.

    Tyrese showed his leadership ability as a rookie. Joel, Ben and Tobias were unavailable to play against Jokic and the Nuggets. All Maxey did was put thirty-nine points on the board. Glenn Rivers sent him back to the bench when the Big Three returned. I saw him for the phenomenal player he is. Four years later, everyone finally discovered that for themselves.

  • @Byronic19134
    @Byronic19134 18 дней назад +3

    I actually think Yabusele can start allowing us to bring Kelly off the bench motivated to win 6th man of the year. Yabusele 6’8” with a 7’4” wingspan who guard 3-5 and hit the open 3. That’s all we need basically a younger, bigger, more athletic PJ Tucker type.
    I especially love the length we got on this team because even our guards, Eric Gordon 6’4” with a bulky frame and 6’9” wingspan, and Reggie Jackson 6’2” with a ridiculous 6’11” wingspan. Plus they can all shoot 40% from 3.

    • @jerry25a
      @jerry25a 15 дней назад

      Please don't mention PJ Tucker, who was easily the worst starting offensive player in the NBA, with the Sixers.
      They wouldn't even play him in LAC. Tucker was never able to defend anyone bigger this himself (6'4") inside the paint. He never really guarded PFs and certainly not Centers.
      But because he was a "tough guy" the You Tubers gave him a pass. Fact is that there had to be a shake-hand agreement for him to always start, which resulted in losing Tisse.
      The media would always point out all the intangibles.
      Regarding Yabusele, there is NO WAY Nurse will let Yabu start, or play more than 20 mpg at the beginning of season. He will have to prove himself.
      But we also have to think of next season. The Sixers can at best only offer the 5.685 M taxpayer MLE. I want to keep him long term and don't want him to think he's too valuable.
      Hopefully we can get sponsors and commercials for Yabu and he will love playing in PHL.
      You are correct that Caleb Martin is too small to guard most PFs. No problem. PG will guard the bigger PFs as a starter. It was ESPN that started the word that C Martin would be the PF.
      Between PG, Yabu, some Caleb and some RC-IV, the PF position will be in good shape.
      Then after Jan. 15, KJM will be traded for someone like Tari Eason or Jaylin Williams. At that point Caleb can focus on being a SG and defend the best players under 6'6".
      At that point I would take the Sixers as a championship team, on the same level as Celtics.

    1. Much too wordy discussion and without facts to back up statements that you kept repeating.
    2. You waited until after 1 hr before mentioning Ricky Council IV.
    Yet most agree that Ricky > KJM Jr. and are basically the same size except Council is muscle and KJM is fat.
    KJM had 4 yrs. He's a SF,/PF tween who still can't shoot after 4 yrs. He fouls too much on defense, botches dunks and doesn't really do anything very well.
    He's only on a roster as a bloated contract ready to be traded. Morey woudn't even discuss KJM because of this.
    There is no way KJM will get paid for the 2nd yr of his contract, unless the team he's traded to, tries to do the same maneuver.
    RC-IV not KJM will be in he an 11 man rotation. RC-IV is not needed as a back up SF, as we already have PG, Oubre and C Martin to rotate at SF.
    RC-IV will be a backup PF, at 6'6", behind PG (will start at PF much of the time) and Yabusele. RC-IV along with C Martin can also be used to defend big guards.
    Nick Nurse has gone out of his way to praise RC-IV during and after summer league. At one point he hit 5 consecutive 3's, at an average difficulty of 9 and from an average distance of 25+ feet. RC-IV will continue to shoot at least high 30% from 3 pt. He will continue to draw more fouls per minute than even Joel. He will continue to be able to defend 1 thru 4.
    I compare RC-IV as a taller Josh Hart with a better shot. He can be worth a 15 M per year in his next contract.
    Meanwhile KJM is a Vet Min player at best.
    3. Regarding Tobias Harris, OF COURSE he shouldn't be hated for his contract.
    Almost 100% of Sixers fans don't know why he got that contract - He was about to sign with Nets for a near 4 yr MAX.
    Having lost Butler already (should have traded Simmons in retrospect), it was the right move to make sure to lock up Tobi.
    As it turned out, had Brand waited a couple more days, Kyrie and KD would have agreed to sign with Brooklyn.
    Instead of 180 M, Tobi would have had to accept more like $140 M.
    As it turned out Tobi was a near All Star his first 2 yrs and not overpaid.
    But had Tobi's contract been $140 M with decreasing values (say 32, 30, 28, 26, 24 M) then there would not have been many complaints.
    But has most Sixers fans never understood, in the old CBA being overpaid doesn't necessarily hurt roster construction very much. They didn't even use the MLE in some of those years and were over the Cap.
    And you unfairly bashed Tobias and ignored all the good he did over the past 5 yrs. We can only wish to have a PF who busted his butt like he did and got 6.5 rebounds per game and was a 3-way scorer and defended the opponents best player.

  • @Byronic19134

    Bona is not undersized I hate the way they changed height listings because Bona measured 6’8.5” barefoot which means he would traditionally be listed as 6’10” with a 7’4” wingspan and 9’0” standing reach, not to mention he’s an absolute freak athletically as he has a 40” max vert and a 35” no step vert with those measurements.

    • @jerry25a
      @jerry25a 15 дней назад

      Bona is listed at the Combine as 6'8.25" w/o shows, but he is so wide that his wingspan is 7''3.75" and he weighs 243. I would round up to 6'9" to compare with other players.
      That is NOT undersized overall. But he also had a 35" standing jump to lead the Combine.
      So even though he might be slightly shorter than Reed by 0.25 inches, he is a bigger person and jumps higher.
      However, he never mad a 3 pt shot in 66 games at UCLA, so don't expect Nurse to every play him at the PF position this season.
      He will be getting experience in G-League when Joel is player, and the signing of Yabusele makes that an even safer bet.
      BTW, I believe Drummond is really closer to 6'10" but is often listed as 6'11".

      It could be a second round exit, the east is tough, but would you not say this is by far the best roster Embiid has ever had top to bottom? Also I do think it’s a super team, one superstar, two borderline superstars, excellent depth, great coach.

      Prime Embiid (way better now than 2019).. maxey is as good and I think better now than Simmons ever was, you certainly can’t argue that he’s miles better in terms of fit with Embiid, and PG about the same as jimmy, also way better fit on paper than jimmy was with Embiid. Remember, jimmy was not the Miami jimmy we see him as now, still a star player in 2019 but much better in recent years. The depth for me is miles better than 2019, you could maybe argue the starting 5 was better that year, maybe better 5 players overall, but I think this starting 5 is less clunky fit/skillset wise. You basically had 2 playable bench players in the playoffs that year, (neither were great) not to mention a backup 5 and backup 1 problem (post trades). We have a top tier backup 5, about 5 guards that could see playing time (if you wanna say 3 in the playoffs it’s still more).. and some wings and forwards with versatility, not to mention this team will look better after the deadline. Also a championship coach that out coached ours in that very same elimination series lol.. No question this roster is better, even if you wanna say they’re only slightly better that’s fine but idk how you could disagree with this?

      That’s a fair take, I actually totally get understand where you’re coming from! For me there are way more superstars than that but I understand that it’s not a popular position I have! I’m actually planning to make a video about this topic sometime after the deep dive series! Thanks for the feedback, understandable! 🙏🏻

      PG is the third option on this Team. He's not being asked to be a Super Star. He may actually be the fourth option. Don't sleep on Pretty Boy Oubre or Caleb Martin.

  • @Byronic19134
    @Byronic19134 18 дней назад

    Oubre is going to play PF not Caleb Martin. Oubre is taller with quicker and higher hops plus he’s made to play the dunker position. On top of that Caleb is a better outside shooter. Also I disagree with Maxey not being able to switch or being bad at defense because that is not what I saw last year at all and this offseason he has just gotten jacked. Maxey hands are so quick and is a master at deflecting the ball on defense when the ball handler goes to make a move or take a shot out the post.
    Also KJ Martin does not make enough to trade for DFS. DFS makes like 17 mil so KJ 8 mil is not enough and throwing McCain in just to get DSF is not an option.
