- The end of the week is upon us, and we are having a team meeting to get everything cleaned up, fixed up, and ready to roll for next Monday! The guys came over at the end of the day after finishing the route to spend an hour or two on much-needed repairs and fixes to keep everything moving.
While there, the guys installed one of the new Ballard Chute blockers on the 72" unit, fixed the one on the 60" unit, sharpened and changed blades, and unboxed our newest purchase! We scooped up a Simpson pressure washer to finally be able to clean and power wash off our equipment. So cool!
It's always a thankful and proud moment when you can end the week on a high note with everyone working together to celebrate our wins. The guys' attitudes are amazing, the work is getting completed, and the team is winning big this year. I couldn't be happier!

GrassFlap is all I use. Cables really aren't an issue. My firat cable lasted 1000 hrs. 50 buck 10 min replacement. Foot control, in my opinion, is way more convenient than hand.
We’re all grassflap all the time. Had one cable snap at 900 hours and 2 that are over 1500 hours.
Also, just upgraded (or downgraded I guess) to the Milwaukee mid-torque from the high torque. Still have the high-torque but it stays home now. Overkill for changing blades and now we don’t have to jack the mowers up as high to get underneath them with the mid-torque since it’s shorter.

Im sure you know this but for others who dont, Use different tips for paint vs concrete and the nicer pressure washers you can turn down the dial to turn down the pressure from 4000-1000. I don’t let it my pressure washer run too long with it out water running through it so we don’t burn up the pump. Don’t forget to winterize it unless your heating your shop

Yeah we figured that one out quickly, good call! Nah not running the business out of the barn. Just tinkering on equipment end of day. The neighbors are pretty cool (minus one) and I couldn’t care less what he has to say 😉

Be careful power washing the mowers. Use one of the lower pressure nozzles. Too much pressure can force the water into seals, spindles, and bearings, or mess with electrical components.

Hi Brian That Power Washer Looks Great I used them Many of Times Washing Trucks The unit Ran on 5 Gallons of Kerosene and you could Mix Zep Soap in it That unit Worked Great Does your unit Run with a Soap Option PS Nice Land and House and Pole Barn Congregations to your Success 👍

Totally! Just refreshing the fleet and getting things uniform. The truck is in a good position to sell while everything is working great.

I wash my stuff like once a month. I used to wash once a week, but it gets just as gross on Mondays so I just wash them when they get really bad. As for powerchute, angle the motors up to a 45 degree angle and they last a lot longer.
I’ve had many issues with my advanced chute the gave me a refund. Although it only lasted maybe half of spring.

Yeah you'll be fine. Just don't spray into any filters on the engine block and you should be fine.
