- Journalist Zach Anders joins Peter Cardwell to react to a verified video circulating on social media of an injured Palestinian man strapped to an Israeli military Jeep during an arrest raid in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin on Saturday.
The Israeli military said its forces were fired at and exchanged fire, wounding a suspect and apprehending him.
In a statement the military said the soldiers then violated military protocol, and that the “conduct of the forces in the video of the incident does not conform to the values” of the Israeli military and that the events will be investigated and dealt with.

The Israeli court found 1200 instances of the IDF using Palestinians as human shields in the prior 5 years, The IDF opposed the ban and fought the courts ruling. This is a common place to keep an injured enemy combatant as well as a friendly or unit member. For a number of reasons including a flat place to lay someone injured. Not a human shield. The US does this as well, they were also behind combat front lines. Why not use ambulance? Needs to remain in custody, has been tended to by a unit medic and they are headed back already it’s not like an ambulance is getting there quicker.

Having ambulances or med-evac remain staged for more critical casualties is standard as well.
It’s part of what’s called “triage”.
Until more information comes out and a thorough investigation is done anyone seeing this video has no idea what’s really going on.

They were using him as a human sheild to get out of the camp without being targeted ,they do this all the time ,they even tie kids on the bonet .They were not taking him to hospital ,2 ambulances were wating and the IOF didnt stop.😢
There were two Ambulances beside israel army forces but they ignored them to protect themselves from Resistance group, you can see the full vedio in other channels
