I bought a used Series 6, but it died a few months ago. I’m still not over it because it was by far my most used and beloved Apple product. I was so excited when I got it, remembering when I watched the unveiling of the very first one back in 2015. It has also helped me tremendously with the heart monitoring, which I appreciated greatly due to my heart condition. Now I’m afraid to buy secondhand again, but the price of the new one is far too steep here where I live. Hope I can save up the money and get at least a Series 4 - the Watch really is an amazing product!

I’ve had the series 6 since day one and have worn/used it for atleast 16 hours every single day, still works perfectly as expected and with an above 85% battery health

Can you put the Apple Watch series 7/9 into night mode - to make the screen go red, or is that still just an Ultra option????
The only cool feature about this new Apple Watch is that you can pinch while some is calling you and you can pinch again to hang up. This also appeared in accessibility options from older Apple Watches as well, but it’s a bit slower
Too bad they didn’t give that feature until October

I went from S6 to this S9 and noticed that sound in calls and messages are lower on the newer one. All sound settings at maximum level… 😕

I like the default watch face on the stainless steel, but it drains my battery faster than the other faces,is that normal? Ive have a series 5 stainless steel.

Ultra 2 is a lot brighter than Ultra 1 incremental improvements, I would like to know how bright the Series 9 is compared its previous models Series 8?
Watch Series X is going to quite similar to Motorola 360 if you remember the watch, and quite similar to Samsun Galaxy watch with a rotating bezel.
Hows the aluminium GOLD colour, is it yellow or more rose gold? 😀
Another great review. I’ve been tempted to get the Series 9 because my Series 5 is aging, but I just got a Series 8 last year. Lol. I like having two Apple Watches to flip back and forth between when one dies or needs charging, but the difference between the S5 and the S8 is very noticeable. Uptime on a full charge is also getting poor on the S5. Used to flip back and forth between Series 3 and Series 5 until the 3 got the boot and lost software support last year.
With the next Apple Watch being the 10th iteration I’m hoping there’s something groundbreaking or at least a physical redesign. Holding out for that.

I only upgrade because I hand my watches down. Series 4 is still good that went to my dad, and now that I’m getting s9 my s7 goes to my son (he just entered into the Apple universe this year).

I have WATCH series 8 45mm midnight aluminum. Perfect size for me with always on display should enough for me… Battery life last all day even more. Not upgrading any WATCH for any reason.
In Watch OS 10 checking for recent apps is the only thing I hate much

Yes, just connected to your iPhone and update it. It can use cellular data from the iPhone.

As long as your current watch meets your needs and works properly I'd say no. WatchOS 10 is doing wonders on series 8 and there's not much worth upgrading

I found the secret to bad battery life on iPhone 14 pro, today for some random reason I turned off show battery percentage and my battery life went from never about 5h to over 7h

No, you just don’t activate the cellular plan but you can use it just like normal

I’ve always wanted a stainless steel one and with the rumor of the Watch series X using a different way to connect bands, I kind of want to get one now so my current bands work with it. I have quite a few of the leather loops that Apple used to make and it would cost a lot to replace bands if they changed the connector on the Apple Watch series x. I know with the stainless steel watches, the screens use sapphire so it’s almost impossible to get a scratch on the screen but with the body of the stainless steel models, do you think they scratch easily, and if they do are the micro scratches that noticeable? Thanks.
I think the silver stainless steel gets scratched pretty easily (relatively ) due to no coating but graphite and gold being coated doesn’t scratch easily .. although with silver you can re polish them easily just like traditional steel watches so thats a plus …@@jeremyhenn5640

I hope Apple one day appreciates that existing Apple Watch users who are upgrading will not want to buy a new additional band given that they more than likely already own a variety of bands. Apple should allow people to buy a watch product on its own without forcing them to buy a band as well.

Is it worth paying extra for stainless?
It depends. The Stainless steel version has Sapphire Crystal glass which is much hard to scratch and basically needs a diamond or something very hard to scratch it. It is much heavier though due to the stainless steel.
