Mariah, I'm also former L.A. area born n' raised. What is your opinion of traditional Slovenian folk music, as in the Avsenik style polka? It may sound odd, but I'm an old Cali surfer dude who finds Slovenian folk music just thrilling. Please, your opinion????
I don’t know if I would use the word “thrilling.” Charming? Yes. It reminds me of Disneyland character music. I’ve come to enjoy it
@@MariahDolenc ...you know, of course, the central place in Slovene culture its music and traditions hold? The Oberkrainer polka influence is worldwide, and Slovenians catapulted its popularity. Ask your husband how recognized Slavko Avsenik was in all of Europe by the 1960's and '70's. And every Slovenian woman is gorgeous. And yes, thrilling. Take it from me, an original SoCal dude.
