    In Proverbs 12:1-3, Solomon contrasts the righteous who welcome correction and commit their way to righteousness with the wicked who do not. In this, he shows that the wise person welcomes correction, and consequently grow in knowledge. The wise person also commits their way to righteousness and are like the root of a great tree that endures, while those who are wicked are condemned by God and are ultimately swept away.
