  • We recently bought a used Ventura roof tent. We filmed us faffing around fitting to our little transit connect that has 300’000 miles on it ready for some summer camping.
Bit slow to fit but extremely solid and the kids love it.

You need a 12” length of string on your cover zip pull. All the boys got them.

    Aero roof bars 😂😂😂
How did you find the tent generally?
I'm picking the same one up soon for my kangoo van.

😂. We love it. Me and my 8 year old son drove to Italy last summer and back and was very cool on hot nights with the windows open with the nets zipped. And dry in the rain. Easy to put up. Everything is an adventure in it.
Only criticism was the cover let some rain in when driving and it’s kind of rubbed a the tent a bit when stored and driving and made some marks but that maybe just how we packed it away.

why have you got your roof bars like that, they are meant to fit with the bullnose forward for aero effect and the flat part facing up for the load to sit on

No need for a Top Heavy Tent, get a ground tent then you don't always need to camp at your vehicle, move the tent over near the stream or under the trees, and leave it to hold you campground while you explore during the day
