I love this style because you can get more info out than just the occasional blurb laid over chat. I feel stronger already. The boys in the ForeverDDK club might not like the new me.😉
Im always aware of my mistakes, but when im playing live you have to be self assured so you dont waste time seconding guessing moves you already played. Gotta remain confident and positive and keep pushing forward or you can defeat yourself mentally before your opponent even plays a move.
I watched this game the other night when it was played on stream. I feel both versions are interesting. The roller-coaster ride of the stream - complete with various blunders and the to-and-fro in chat, as compared with the calmer reprise of the YT clip reminds me of one writer’s description of warfare as “Horror recollected in tranquillity” :-)
I really like the format, but I think for murder Monday you don't need as much explanation. I think if you limited your commentary closer to the pace of the game, with maybe a deep dive/review at the end, or wait for those moments when your past self is taking a minute to read mid-game? Idk if it's just me, but I personally enjoy watching the flow of murder games, and would more enjoy pausing to deep dive mid-game for basics. Over-all cool tho! Excited to see more!
I'm someone that mostly watches your videos for entertainment. for me personally these kind of videos sound fun to switch it up with your general content, but only if it's like once a month and not once a week. though that's personal preference and I'll probably watch them all anyway
I liked it. I watched the live stream too and it was entertaining for different reasons, as you reacted to RT mistakes and realizations. But this gave a chance to say more than you can in byo yomi. It would be fun too to do this with an interactive chat. There’s always so many decisions that are above my kyu-level.
just like the super bowl, the favourite wins after a game that did get complicated because of mistakes being made. 😂 good format 👍. As they say on coffeechess: "outsider see's every thing " . Your analysis with the viewers perspective is different from the ingame experience when the brain is busy doing stuff.
Liked the longer format but I still prefer to have brand new videos for YT as I watch all the streams already. But definitely great to have more insights with the review afterwards! P.S we didn't get to see the tsumego in the upper left
I'm mostly convinced that humans shouldn't play the 3-3. The AI is so insanely good at knowing exactly when and how to invade that it can 3-3 and get away with it. Also, I like this format.
Live game is way more exciting. Especially for a Murder Monday. There is more interest and adrenaline. With a debrief at the end and some live comments of your reading, it's I think more interestesting as it's more lively. The chat is really making it more lively as well.
I liked this format, but I don't think it'll work as the standard. It's fun to see the live game, especially when I am usually busy during your streams.
Super great new series! More like this please. BTW, I am curious aabout the kill sequence that could have worked in the top left. I found something that at least makes it into a ko, I think.
Personally I believe that it is easier to follow the live game. Hearing your thought process, hesitations, hot comments makes it more natural to understand the flow of the game. Each player goes thru similar process during their games or even while watching you playing and compares you decisions with his own on each move. This is something that I'm missing in te game review. On the other hand, during the review you can show more and deepen some ideas, which is a perfect after the game. By the way I still don't understand the reasons behind skipping move like H6 and going rather to the bottom right corner immediately. When I imagine black stone in H6 it seems just too good for black so my judgement is: great move for my opponent is also a great move for me. For black not only it connects his eyeless group but it also creates an enormous wall for him. So isn't it an example of "urgent before big" ?
If i commit to a jump early on he will defend his weak group and i might lose the chance to attack it ever again. If i play away and he defends it then i gain a free move. if he doesnt defend it i might be able to cut off where he can run later in the game. Its a matter of timing
This format is interesting but a middle point where you have the real audio (when possible) with pauses to explain better would probably be more entertaining.
Can I be honest and say I didn’t quite enjoy this style as much as usual, I would prefer to see the original game with the live commentary over you giving yourself a review in retrospect lol
I see no advantage in sacrificing good quality discussion and analysis, just so the game can be watched in "real time" on RUclips. Post reviews are better 100%
I like the review format. But I don't like two mouse pointers and the way you have to show variations. Why not just download the game and do a review with all the proper tools an sgf editor is providing?

SDK here. I completely agree. The live version might be more entertaining. But for learning this format is much more valuable.
Would love this as a new series, would hate to lose the regular murder Monday format for it. Both would be great but absolutely prefer the latter
You are human. I liked the fact you said you made mistakes. Usually you're so self-assured. I enjoyed this.

Seeing Batts from the future talking to and agreeing with Batts from the past feels really trippy
Much easier to understand and learn from for us single digit kyus. Thank you, Dwyrin.

Enjoyed the format way more than I expected. More educational too. I think a mix of this and the usual would be good.
I agree
Liked the format, want to see again

I like this format a lot more than watching stream recordings! The reflections on the thought process also add an interesting layer.
Dude, words can’t describe how happy it makes me when you do the “muhr-deeer!”
I'm someone that mostly watches your videos for entertainment. for me personally these kind of videos sound fun to switch it up with your general content, but only if it's like once a month and not once a week. though that's personal preference and I'll probably watch them all anyway
Really liked the format, thanks
Huge fan of this longer format. Thanks for teaching us!
I really like this format! Easy to listen to and informative

Do this more. I feel it’s easier to follow
I think narration in post, esp with the benefit of hindsight, is ideal
Like this format very much!
i really love the batts on batts back and forth at the end. could be a new series battception
I like the format. Felt pretty clear what the audience should take away
I kinda liked this format, actually. Especially the insights into your in-game thinking. What was the kill sequence on the upper left, btw?
E1.
This is a great way to teach! Keep up the good work!

I like this even better than your livestreams!

But this format is also good for learning so...
Thank you for coming up with this new format🙏
Fascinating game, and I like the new style, so much learning.
I definitely like both formats. I think you should use this format for Basics and leave Murder Monday old school.
Interesting new style. I like it. Thanks for sharing.
I liked this format, but I don't think it'll work as the standard. It's fun to see the live game, especially when I am usually busy during your streams.
I enjoyed this about the same as your usual live coverage.

As per dywrin in another comment, it involves E1. :)
It gets a bit confusing at the end, but actually funny! Cant read the seven dan stuff, though... so many things to look after. Gg
Yeah really really liked this format
I liked it.
Nice format, keep em coming

@@dwyrin Thank you for the explanation
I prefer this
I like this style

I like this style of video
more of this plox
Why can't we have 2 versions, I'm sure you recorded the whole thing live right?
Live version had more fun commentary lol
Can I be honest and say I didn’t quite enjoy this style as much as usual, I would prefer to see the original game with the live commentary over you giving yourself a review in retrospect lol
His language during the game wasn’t appropriate for RUclips 😂
B U N G L E
I do like this style but at the same time I miss your, umm, in game patter.
i like

Youd lose the clocks and the sense of how long people took on the moves.
