I love how they seem to actually be starting Black Adam off as an anti-villain like in the comics before he transitioned to an anti-hero much later and I want to see how they do it.

It's encouraging, esp given how CGI heavy this looks, that the CGI looks really good in this trailer. Especially considering it is on RUclips with their awful compression. The average if not sub-par CGI we've been getting lately, especially during COVID has been a big bummer.

I can't believe they revealed the villain of the movie because that is a pleasant surprise of an old school legit Shazam baddie and yes that devil is the one of the worst.
I think you should go in unsure, because the cool thing with Black Adam is they can have him do the heroic act for the finale, but he can still have ambiguous morality and be more on an anti-hero.

Haven't even watched the movie lol...could very well turn out to be another WW84...but hope for the very best. MoS already set the path for DC back in 2013 and things would've been completely different if not for the seriously incompetent and toxic Hamada regime that savagely brutalized the DCEU and almost killed for a terrible woke future. Looks awesome. I do wonder about the whole Justice Society/JSA thing though. This looks very multi-culturally global. Black Adam has his own country, Hawkman is Egyptian, Dr. Fate is British, and the others have very ethnic looks to them as well. Maybe the movie version is a global Justice Society and the Stargirl series gets to use JSA?
i feel like there a good possibility black adam won’t be a ‘good guy’ by the end. in the comics he usually settles for ruling over his own country, kahndaq (a job he takes very seriously and does care for his people in his own way), while leaving the rest of the world mostly alone. for the rock’s adaptation i think it would be fitting for him to end up in a position where he rules over kahndaq privately, but when he does have to get involved in the ongoings of the rest of the world, he isn’t necessarily on the side of good, while also not being a downright villain
