Till Berslagen was released by ABBA guitarist Lasse Wellander in 1985. This Song is not a Chess Demo and it`s also not been composed by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus.
So good to hear a clear version of this, and thanks for putting right the myth. Although I was pretty sure it wasnt a chess demo, I could have put money on it being a Benny composition. It sounds so much like him. Must be just the typical Swedish sound. Once again thanks for upoading this. :o)
IHateThisSpace is correct in what he said. Though of course Benny Andersson compositions often are influenced by Swedish folkmusic, giving it its distinctive tonality. As is this piece; infact the title is a definite nod in that direction since "Bergslagen" is the collective name for a handful of rural provinces where mining and metal industries used to be mainstays of the economy
R.I.P
