Merry Christmas! Yes, it really was fantastic. My mum got me the AC adapter as I was using so many batteries. And then I found that if you left the batteries in while it was plugged in they recharged... somehow! Looking forward to more nonsense next year!

Yes, that box has been around a bit, shall we say! It's a quality game. It's not liquid crystal but some other technology (that Usborne cover). It's clever! And if you run out of fuel you don't instantly die but the little flame at the back goes out, the engine noise stops and you start dropping... you can shoot a fuel tank and survive! It's faster, I think, and fuel DEFINITELY goes down quicker! Picked up the turkey this morning and now it's the calm before the storm... but looking forward to a snowball at 10pm when I watch Lot 249 on the telly!

They really did. Also I took the batteries out before putting it away (unlike some other things, whoops). But this one still works. There's something rattling inside which might be anything but the game works absolutely fine, just like 40 years ago!
