I just noticed that they could've saved Aya, just trigger the explosion and use Crazy Diamond to reconstruct her and heal her wounds, just like in he did to Hayato in the fight against Kira.
With Hayato, Josuke was right next to him and could heal him before the explosion completely destroyed him, but with Aya, he was too far away, and realized what was happening too late
My guess is that Josuke didn't think to do that at that moment, but after that he made sure to not let that happen ever again = he is more prepared and knowledgeable when it happens with Hayato
Because if josuke would do this in that moment then kira's hand is gonna stops to heal plus josuke standed at 5mr at aya crazy diamond can't heal someone in that meter position so aya is thechnecally cannot be saved
