It's a city with great bones! Every great city has a place for everyone. If I had total freedom to choose where I would live, it would be Saint John. Someday I want to go back. Appreciate your vids and comments.
I really liked the way you synced the music with the tone and timing of the shots. The choices you made definitely were successful in creating a certain aura. Can you think of other ways to do more drone videos of Saint John depicting alternate moods creating alternative shades of character the city has? They would be cool to see.
After seeing this video, I want to buy a drone. I would use it all the time. Maybe I could make it land on the Peace Tower and do a 360 of Parliament Hill, haha.
Hi. Recently moved in to a rental in east SJ from PEI, before that our origin is Cambridge, Ontario. We will give it a year or two and decide if we will buy and lay roots in the SJ area. Lots to like, and yes, some not so great parts but what place doesn't have that. On the whole, amazing beauty if you know where to look and much to appreciate. Even with homes priced much higher now, probably still a deal to be had compared to KW-Cambridge area. Hope we bump into you out and about. 🙂
@@lozanne5880 There are areas that are NOT great for families or anybody...just like any place. You need to do your own research. Can you find a nice, safe, family oriented space? Yes. But is all of Saint John safe and great for families? No of course not.
@@onemashedlife4313 So true. There are areas in Saint John I would not dare park my car over night or go for a walk. Petty crimes and even mugging are so common they are not news worthy unless someone gets hurt badly.
It's all relative, as my grandfather from Saint John would say. For newcomers to Saint John, they may find it a crown jewel whereas others that have lived there for decades and remember when Saint John was more vibrant and had a larger population than today, can find it not appealing and economically depressed.
@@atribecalledowens Especially when there is that cinematic fog that I like. Great shots to be had with that fog in the uptown alleys. Keep in mind it is best for children and seniors not o venture out often on foggy days, as the fog often restricts movement of air and captures the heavy metal toxins so you usually breath in more of it when there is fog. Unfortunately (most of the times) that is when the pulp mill cranks out the smoke. Also check the AQI, as even on a blue sky day it can be high.
What do you guys think? Beauty or Beast?

Yes - it's all in the lens that you view the word with.
Born and raised there; never liked the place. It is an economically depressed place and heavy metal toxins in the air is a concern for sure.
Oh wow that is concerning. 😞
