Zico also is a solo hip-hop artist and producer, as well as a member of the Kpop boy group Block B. Not only does Zico write and produce many of his own songs, but he also writes and produces songs for other artists, such as Super Junior's "2Ya2YaO," and many others.
I know I'm late to this reaction, but I just had to leave a comment thanking you for recognizing the beat! Zico is an insane lyricist but most people don't recognize his MAD skill with production and beat-making. In an interview somewhere he mentioned that he created this beat while he was in the bathroom and heard a sink dripping somewhere along with pipes clanging and such. Now I can never un-hear those sounds in this sick beat. Zico is insanely talented in all aspects of music and I will never not sing his praises. I wish he was more widely recognized outside of Korea because he is pure musical genius. Thanks for giving him a listen and I love all your reactions!
Zico is group Block B’s leader (many people keep saying he left when he said so many times that he didn’t and even promoted with the group so.. yup.. still their leader) He also made a “crew” with other solo khh artists named Fanxy child.. they’re just “friends who make music” lol so they just get together every once in a while to make songs or shows tgt
Zico is really really good, not just as a rapper, but also as a composer/producer. He plays around with lots of different styles, and excels in all of them. Yes he was in Block B [kind of still is…it’s complicated…he left the label but not the group? I’m not sure I fully understand] he recently returned from the army, and merged his label with Hybe beforehand [presumably to protect his staff], so now KOZ entertainment is part of Hybe labels, he is the ceo of KOZ . Very unique artist, very different and original. He is fun too.
Adding a few points here Yes zico left kq entertainment (and Pyo and Ukwon too) but still block b’s leader. They promoted together even after he left kq, something that Shinhwa does, got7 does etc. so nothing complicated here, kq entertainment doesnt own block b hehe~ And hybe acquired koz (zicos lable) not to protect staff, but to expand globally with hybes global reach~
