Remember to always have an arrow in the bow when you're practicing. Otherwise, you may have to reassemble the parts of your bow after you find them on the floor and ceiling.
I never thought I’d get a hinge release as it was always weird to me. I now own 3 of them 😂 I still use my finger releases but I use the sunrise shooting methods a lot more now. As far as a 2 in 1 I’ve only found the G.O.A.T I’d there any others like it? Nice video by the way
I heard a guy in another video (giving a class to a group, it seems as he is the big deal on archery), any way he said that hinge releases are not back tension releases. So now I am confused, is a hinge release a back tension release or not? Are there other types that are not wrist nor hinge releases? Thanks for the videos.
Great observation... first time i heard this important question asked. I found myself focusing on squeezing my ring finger, which seemed easy, but i was splitting my attention between squeezing and aiming at the target. Did ok but was struggling to fine confidence in the shot. Last 3d shoot i had a major breakthrough. I was getting tired and creeping off the back wall. So i told myself ... out loud... pull against the wall. Because i knew i was tired i drew my bow and when i heard the click, i remember.... pull against the wall. Bang.... holy shit. Perfect suprise shot and perfect aim. The shaking in the scope went away the realease was so clean. I repeated that process again same results. I FINALLY figured it out. Imagine both your fist in front of your chest against each other, now with just your back muscles make your fist come apart. Thats how you pull against the back wall.
I think this is the best explanation I've seen about how a back tension release works. thanks for taking the time to do this video.
Helpful video. Thanks for taking the time to walk us through hinges!
Comprehensive and concise video. Good job. I subscribed.

Thanks for this!
Where in this action does any type of rotation occur?? My understanding of the word doesn't equate to what I see on screen, so what exactly rotates?
Great question! We have an article to help explain this.
