      @@LetsGetToThePoints I think ya'll did a fantastic job on covering everything. The AAdvantage Hotels is something I just learned about. Question - with Gold status or higher I see the crazy amounts of miles you can earn at certain properties. Do those miles count towards loyalty as well? EX: I found a stay for 2 nights where the miles earned where like 17K. Would that also give me 17K loyalty pts?

    • @LetsGetToThePoints
      @LetsGetToThePoints  15 дней назад +1

      Hi! Yes. For AAdvantage hotels, you can usually earn higher amounts with Gold status or above and holding any AA credit card. Get those points! 🥳

    GREAT episode ❗️I have one question for you guys: I got sign on bonus from the Citi AAdvantage Business card back in April 2024. Can I now apply for the personal Citi AAvantage Platinum Card and still get the sign on bonus? Citi’s rule is kinda vague here. Thanks!

    I liked the One World lounge at LAX much more than the AA Flagship lounge. I was very disappointed with the AA Flagship lounge at LAX. There were a lot of food options but the quality wasn't great. There is no bartender at the lounge. Every coffee machine was broken. The views were nice, but for a First-class lounge, you would think it would at least be on par or better than a Polaris lounge, but it is for sure steps below. The One World lounge is dark, but it is also huge and the quality of options for food in there is great. I don't think I've ate more buffet food in a lounge before. Not the best lounge I've ever been to, but I look forward to visiting it again.

    I didn’t realize how valuable AA miles was until this past year. I was able to book and rebook my mom’s seat for different dates as she was waiting for an issue to resolve at home so I was able to help her rebook for free. Luckily, seats opened up last minute and miles were redeposited quickly.

    Can you tie a AA flight to reposition from a JAL flight international, or it should be a AA flight as well? Because we have a existing JAL flight from Tokyo to Los Angeles. Then, southwest LA to Las Vegas. So I'm wondering if I can do that like what Nicole did.

    • @LetsGetToThePoints

    Hyatt and Aa linked but do you get AA loyalty points or miles? What’s the difference?

    • @LetsGetToThePoints
      @LetsGetToThePoints  14 дней назад

      LPs are what AA counts toward status. Not all miles are LPs. For example, bonuses earned from AA credit cards will not be considered LPs, they will be just miles. You would only be concerned with LPs if you care about AA status. Serena and Mitch = don’t care about LPs. Nicole and Miguel = care a lot about LPs.

    Hands down AAdvantage is the best mileage program! Can't beat the flexibility, award availability, and price (free flights baby).
    Question: At 25:35, how do you determine the flight is eligible to be added as a segment prior to calling in? From my experience at least, I've found that if the individual segment is priced under 15K, I'm able to tack it onto an international award. Meaning, it's generally regarded as "T" saver space at that point. I'm curious to hear your experience with this.

    • @nicolehaynes7825
      @nicolehaynes7825 15 дней назад +1

      The best way I have found to see if a segment is available to be added for free is to use the Alaska Airlines website to see if the segment is available there. Usually if the segment is available on Alaska’s website, you can add it to your itinerary for free

    Hello all,
    I am about to book a 2 PREMIUM ECONOMIC AWARD TICKET for 50k miles/points each from HND to DFW on Japan Airlines new A350-1000 for next June 2025.I have 2 questions:
    1. Should I wait for availability for business instead(60k miles/points each)?
    2. Would it be possible to UPGRADE an award PREMIUM ECONOMIC to BUSINESS OR FIRST using more miles/points(for this will be AA miles) or cash ?
    Thanks in advance.

    • @LetsGetToThePoints
      @LetsGetToThePoints  6 дней назад

      Hi. That will be a nice new premium economy seat! Book those seats you found. Keep monitoring for the business class seats. If the biz seats appear, you can put on hold. Then cancel the PE seats and apply the miles to the biz seats. We've seen cash upgrades available at the airport on check in day.

      @@LetsGetToThePoints Thanks ,unfortunately those 2 seats looks like there are NOT available in AA site anymore, even that they are showing for the last 3 days or so, I even called the AA customer svce and they are no able to see it on their side. It is kind of weird because I tried different JL flights and I have the same results. Did this happened to anybody before???
      I feel kind of frustrated at this time.
      I kind of believe that there maybe some issues booking JL awards in AA site.
      Any help or advise will be deeply appreciate.

    Everyone raves over American and normally I would be to if I was living in the US. However, in my current situation AA is not useful to me. @@LetsGetToThePoints I don’t necessarily like either. My family and I are hot bodies and most Asian carriers that we have flown (ANA, JAL, China, Vietnam, etc.) are hot planes during flight. Idk if Asia believes in A/C but we cringe anytime we have to fly an Asian carrier for longer than 3 hours. At least that’s how it feels in Economy; maybe different in business or first class. I have noticed the closer to the front of the plane you are the less hot it is...
