No bs, no "emmm.." or "aaa...", no dumn slides that makes you sick. That a *great* talk! As an engineer, I can just want to say: *"Bravo, Alvaro Leiva Geisse!"* 10/10
A very thorough explanation of the use and capabilities of systemd as a dev op without the 10yrs experience of being a dev op. SystemD seems to bring productivity, \standard\, and ease. I do not prefer convenience, but it sells. Allows an op to perform with functionality, quickly, with \standard\ methods. Configuration and deployment are gains.
In the demo he uses pystemd, though systemd itself provides python bindings, in the form of python-systemd. It would be nice to know what the rationale for creating a new library was, as it is not explained on pystemd's page.
If you do not want to have so many rights over a machine the conventional way, ask a friend to support you and revoke your root access. It is that simple! No need for crap like systemd. And binary log files are the greatest nonsense ever in history of Unix/Linux btw.
So systemd is apparently somehow useful to Python developers who don’t know how to use ulimit and other standard system facilities, and keeps being a total nuisance to everybody else, especially system administrators.

This talk explains some very important concepts in a fun and accessible way, bravo! 👏👏👏
Really great, I had no idea systemd did this much. Thanks!
I realize it is quite randomly asking but does anyone know a good website to watch new series online ?
@Tadeo Keith lately I have been using Flixzone. You can find it by googling =)
@Avi Prince yup, I've been watching on Flixzone for months myself =)
@Avi Prince thanks, I signed up and it seems like a nice service =) I appreciate it!
@Tadeo Keith happy to help =)

github.com/systemd/python-systemd seems to be mostly abandoned...

Is this a joke?
