- I show my dumpster dive Library Route in this video. I find lots of scrap metal dumpster diving finds and explain why I don't pick up everything I see. I show one of my stash holes, try to pet a shy dog and find some Easter lillies as a church bell begins to ring.

yep, shipping them there was the first thought i had. I guess they have to be marked though. 10 cents a can is a lot! I bet that's enough to cause can picking competition actually? I could make $40k a year on cans only if i pciked up everyone i saw at 10 cents each. LoL, i didnt know how to turn that toy off, prob the reason why it was in the garbage...lol
ScrapVulture cans are only 5 cents, it has to be over 16 oz to be 10.
Your video's are so relaxing to watch looking at the nice town and all the greenery I live in Arizona Coolidge Arizona to be exact, have you ever found money like in a wallet,jacket or a pair of pants pockets? I use to be a maintance man for a apartment complex and I had to trash out units when people move out and omg the stuff people leave is crazy.
Lots of work on a bike but i can appreciate the effort you put in. How come not get a van or truck so you can get tin? Great video
About the 54:00 mark, the door next to frog, might be the knobs and hinges be brass? BTW - Watching you dive in and out of dumpsters make my knees hurt.

Why are there no personal gardens? Even being lots of apartment complexes in the area, there are still a few stand alone houses. This has me curious. I love the ride alongs and I love to see you show people how to break stuff down. With the full pressurized cans I just hit with sharp spade between some blocks. They are heavier and they add up quick. I am someone that has to make the breakdowns to make the money. That's my situation so not judging you at all.

get somekind of hand saw to cut metal pipes (like chair) and utility knife to get rid of the cloth.
Here in Adelaide South Australia cans glass bottles plastic bottles cartons etc are 10 cents each. 10=$1 100=$10 1000=$100 You are hard pressed to find them as just about everyone collects them. Steel is $200 a ton number 1 copper is $12 a kg and number 2 copper is $8kg and Aluminium is about $1 kg if its clean.

Cans can be taken to the store or a recycling center and they are worth 5 cents for pop and 10 for beer etc. Also, some other containers are worth 20cents each. That's more than scrapping isn't it? The only thing is, you can't flatten them.

my bikes are in Utah so while we drive around, we grab cans n plastics. here the trash police actually ticket ppl for putting recycling in the trash. But the trash/recycling trucks hv always been cool n helpful uf i needed a hand with heavy items. but we gather what we can when we cant find heavier metals, copper brass etc..n motors. aluminum cans n plastics helped him $$ to live vs nothing

In the beginning, after you said that you would make a mental note to go back to the dumpster with the chicken wire, I was wondering why you passed up the maroon dumpster? Actually, as I am watching, you pass up quite a few dumpsters.

so you know, you commnented the city containers belongs to someone else.... the actual containers do belong to the city n even the dumpsters you dive ijn belong to a company but....... the law states its legal you dive dumpsters n such. if its the household trash bins, they need to be off the property.. NOTE: PROPERTY.. tho this states Ca in the Courts, that was a supreme court n Ca changes laws for the USA. unless Ark disputes this law, they must support it.. but many divers doknt know the real laws n allow dept stores, cops security etc harass them.. what they pay a security person each month theyd be able to rent a closed bin like Wal-Mart. Dumpster diving is legal in the United States except where prohibited by local regulation. According to a 1988 Supreme Court Ruling (California vs. Greenwood), when a person throws something out, that item is now the public domain.
