More like people use phrases non-literally and noone asked for your on-the-spectrum level of literality.

The crazy thing is that more features haven't been done on them by major publications, as a look back. Some of the nu-metal adjacent groups were unreal - Glassjaw, Mudvayne etc should have been bigger than any of the actual big boys.
