Excellent video, wish I knew about that dowel & pencil, yes I climbed across the table ! ...The ironing board pad love it, I have a plastic grid cutting board, I placed a pad over that grid & pressed ...the grid buckled from the steam oop's, really love your video & your pleasant way of teaching, Thanks "SEW" much 🪡
The dowel idea is ingenious. This would save so much time. I am also left handed in a right hand world. Left hand scissors are a must. I have the same scissors you are using. Have used them for 20 years. Aside from being extremely heavy they are excellent and last forever.
Thank you, Scott. I'm protective over a particular wooden yardstick in my workroom. It has just the right amount of flexibility I need to "slap" it down...to smooth lining over fabric on the worktable. I got a little upset when a family member accidentally broke this particular yardstick. It's been glued back together and I still use it...bc I haven't found any other wooden yardstick that I like better!
HaHa I totally get it! What’s funny about your comment is every year we buy new scissors and rulers for the shop and the seamstresses will immediately make claim by writing their name on them. When I ran a very large workroom I had to break up a scissor fight between two woman because one grabbed the others yard stick!

I'm going to purchase a pair of the shears are they bent handle or straight?
Hi Sharon, my personal preference is a bent handle. Thanks for watching!
