thank u dr for true information,my mom is 44 year old she had lump in her breast from 6 months but because 0f our carrier she never told us,but one day we get to know about her lump we immediately went to Dr but Dr said there are chances of breast cancer,our family shattered,we are not even settled,no insurance,no money everything was disastrous but pray to God for our mummy,but after biopsy results it's fibrodoma and nothing was serious, I just want say all don't worry in any situation it's tough but we can survive at the end I will just pray for all women and huge respect for them

I got a call from the Breast Center office to go back for another scan mammogram on my left breast which I have noticed a little pins and needles feeling and saw a small patch of warm and redness on the side weeks before my appointment but I do breastfeed. I just turned 44 and feel the need to stop nursing but my 18 month old baby won’t give up. Anyways THANK YOU DR for this video I was crying and couldn’t sleep thinking the worst but now that I learned from watching the video that it’s not always BC it gave me hope courage and faith ❤

This is so helpful. I got an abnormal mammogram today !! The radiologist wants me to return and get a biopsy. Im still worried, but this video has eases my mind and heart a a lot. thanks you.

Thanks so much for your video, it´s great to know all the different lumps that I wish we were told by doctors, so helpful. I have just been told that in an ultrasound that it looks like I have fat necrosis in my scar tissue. Is fat necrosis possibly a recurrance? I have also had mri and mammogram and waiting on results.

I having a papilloma removed in two weeks time under general anesthesia...it was diagnosed via CNB at which the radiologist actually thought it was a cyst, but aspiration failed which is why he went ahead with the CNB.... I do have a cyst in my breast besides the papilloma which was never biopsied and was actually the one they were monitoring when they found the papilloma (which they initially thought was a fibroadenoma) and now im wondering if it might be another papilloma and mistaken as a cyst?....the pathology notes from the CNB given to my breast surgeon included the fact that the papilloma has atypical hyperplasia present ....in your personal opinion should I have the tumor biopsied after final excision?

I have a history of DCIS, and my beloved oncology surgeon passed away suddenly two weeks ago so it was challenging to find someone to see me, but my GYN got me in to be checked at our local women's hospital breast health center. Hi. Calcification in the breast can either be benign (non-cancer) or malignant (cancer). If the radiologists are happy it looks benign, then we don’t need to anything about it. Hope that’s helpful.

I just turned 31 years old, about 3-4 months ago I felt a throbing sharp pain on my left breast that it made me scream from the pain , and after a few days I fell this hard lump that made me worried.
It’s been 4 months the lump is still there and the pain continues. I’m just scared to go see a doctor as I am thinking of the worst :((
nevertheless you should have it examined.
The advice is always to see a doctor if you find a lump or anything new.

Dear Dr Tasha I have fibroadenoma in my left breast before 5 years ... But now I hava blister beside my nipple in the left breast and discerged 3 or 4 days , so what should I do now?
Might I emphasize that the only way to be sure a lump isn't cancer is to have a biopsy. Sadly many radiologists are mediocre. My 28 year old daughter had 3 ultrasound s and 2 mammograms over 18 months for her supposed fiberoadenoma. Finally she went to a university hospital for her routine recommended follow up mammogram and was immediately taken for a biopsy for the lump which was actually advanced stage cancer. Just because a person is a doctor it doesn't mean they are a good one....

I was shocked to read this paper directly from NIH.
Biopsy surgery is not safe as we are told.
And it's worth considering that any surgery brings inflammation. Cancer loves inflammation. Could the #1 diagnostic procedure be harmful more than we are admitting? Biopsy is a $14 billion buiness in America alone.

Does fibroadenoma causes any problems or issues when i get pregnant. As of now I'm 22 years old. But I'm worried something goes wrong when i get pregnant with fibroadenoma in my chest. Can i go for any surgery or just leave it alone ? Please help me out with your suggestion.

Doc what if you have a picos never had minstration for almost a year how coul we identify breast lumps?
PCOS should not stop you from finding lumps. Being breast aware and examining your breasts is the best way.
Doctor can fibrodenomas get cured without surgery? And if yes what antibiotics can I use to get them finished am 30yrs and it is now almost 8yrs since I noticed it and I fear surgery, thanks doc
Fibroadenomas can resolve and get smaller on their own. This is because we know they are hormonally influenced. You don't need antibiotics, in fact antibiotics will not have any impact on fibroadenomas. Hope that's helpful.

Hi Dr. My 94 yr old grandma was diagnosed to have stage 3 breast cancer. Is there any other way to cure it without chemotherapy? I'm afraid she might not be able to endure the chemo session.
Hi sorry to hear that. It depends on the the type of cancer. Sometimes tablet treatment can be an option for people who are elderly or frail. Not everyone will need or recommended to have chemotherapy.

Thank you for such an informative video! I've had a fibroadenoma in my right breast for years. 6 months ago I got it checked and my gynaecologist recommended that we monitor it, as it had actually decreased in size over the years. However, now it has grown up to 17cm and I'm 29 now. I was sent for mammography and the doctor over there recommended surgical removal. Could I ask your input regarding this?

Hi, it is difficult to comment specifically on individual cases. However, we know that fibroadenomas are non cancerous and can be left alone. However, if they get bigger especially over a short period of time, then we do occasionally remove them. Some people would also remove them if they are bigger than 3cm. Hope this is helpful.

I am 31 year old, 7 months ago I had some pain in my left breast, after 4 weeks my GP sent me for an ultrasound and it came back as they found 1 cm lump that has the appearance of fibroadenoma and recommended biopsy, I did the biopsy and result came as benign breast parenchyma, however, I still have the pain and discomfort. Hello Dr. Tasha. I appreciated your work in this video, thank you very much. I'm 41 years old and I noticed a huge hard lump on my right breast 3 days before my period start. I am irregular so I keep eye on my cycle. I thought it will go away. And besides it wasn't painful at that time. Two weeks past, and few days ago it started to feel uncomfortable and painful especially when I am lying on my back. It seems like it moves position, when I am standing or sitting it's on top of my breast but lying down it moves under so I thought it was gone. When I do hot compress the pain subsides. Another thing, I feel uneasy because down to my collarbone there's some pain. I will book for doctor's appointment this week. I am so worried.

And he said in my left breast i have a huge cyst less than 3 inside the tumour and the right side there is also a tumour out of my breast the size is about 1.3 cintemeter and he said after 6 months i need a follow up check up if the tumour is become different size and less than 2% percent it will become a cancer. I'm 21 years old and recently (like mostly in the past year) I've been having problems with my left nipple inverting. It's painful when it happens too and can be long or short lived. About a week ago I noticed there was a large, rock-like lump inside that breast, and a fairly small one in the other. I'm without insurance and don't know what it could be.

Currently experiencing a similar situation, awaiting testing. looking back there have been more concerning signs i assumed were cycle related. Mine are changing. please please please keep an eye on it. find a free clinic, or a clinic that works on a sliding scale. Some planned parenthood also offer breast health exams or can link you to affordable options. please get it checked out.

Hello Dr. Tasha, I feel pain in my left breast and armpit. I went to the GP and she referred me urgently for scan. She could feel some lumps around corners of breast. Hi. It is good that you have seen your doc. Fibroadenomas are non-cancerous lumps common in young women. Unless they get quite large, then it is OK to be left alone. Hope that is helpful.
