    Medium: Daler Rowney heavyweight paper, 0.3 mechanical pencil hb and 2h leads. Clutch pencil 6h lead, derwent graphic pencils grades 8h, 7h, 5h, 2h, hb, 4B and 8B leads, round mono zero eraser, Fabre castell black polychromos pencil, brush to blend, graphite powder, blending stump and earbuds/qtips.

    Just saw this video,inspired as always. Just purchased mechanical pencils to complete my supplies. Just recently completed two portraits trying dreads. Male and female. I am enjoying watching you so much. Thank you for the videos.

    First you are chill and easy to listen to you with your English accent I love to go there. I need to know what can take I do to take away the shining from my drawin? Antoinette Rochester Las Vegas

      Thank you. The shine is created by using the softer grade pencils like 4b. Also by applying too much pressure. I avoid this by using harder grades like 4h and not applying pressure. To create depth(darker areas) I use a black polychrome colour pencil. I hope this helps.

    Marie, thank you for doing this particular video. I want to say that since I've been watching your vids, I've been stepping up my drawing game. I lack all the tools that you have. Nonetheless, this one tutorial I had to try. And I have to say that I was pleased with my personal results. While it doesn't look like yours, it's impressive for somebody whose skills have been dormant for forty+ years. Again, thank you so much for all you do
