Frederik Vesti isn't going to replace Hamilton or Russell so Mercedes are looking at their future with Anonelli. As a Mercedes fan, I'm hopeful he does well and doesn't fade like some of his forbears (Ocon / De Vries / Wehrlein)
I just hope him jumping the ladder doesn't bite back. Yeah, it can work (as Verstappen showed), but it can also be seriously detrimental if the jump doesn't work. It's quite prevalent in NASCAR especially, with young drivers getting rushed from the XFINITY series (basically NASCAR F2) into Cup as there's no restrictions, only for Cup to not pan out and their careers effectively stall out because 'you're only as good as your last race'.
There’s no chance he says no if Ferrari comes calling. So it’s a smart move from the Italian team to let a rival develop him when they could call him up any time they wish.
Kimi started karting at the age of 7... Max started karting at the age of 4. That's 3 years of a child's life in which they still pick up new things like a sponge completely lost for Kimi. I'd love for him to become the one who can beat Max his records but that's a tall order. While he might be good, he will need more time to re-acquire the 3 years lost compared to Max. Which leaves him less time at his peak once in F1, if he makes it to F1 that is. After all, I don't see the current drives quiting anytimes soon. So unless someone is kicked out, there won't be a seat.
If he really is the talent everyone thinks he is, he will have a super license by the end of the year. And he will not be in F2 for 3 years. Mercedes will fast-track him into Williams to make sure that Mclaren or Red Bull don't poach him. That would suck for Vesti because that guy is really good as well.

Ooh Audi in 2026 would be great
I think it will be really weird to not only leave the team who has been building you up for like 8 years by that point, who are one of the top teams on the grid, for a team in their first post Sauber season where nobody knows how they will be doing.
@@DeathBlocksyeah i thought that also, very risky move but If Audi comes this new hybrid era like to distance racing R8:s, that would Be one of biggest and gutsiest moves in F1 in long time
Good introduction. Hope he makes it and is loyal to Toto/Merc.
He will be loyal if they give him a seat
f that, let him make ferrari great again!
I could go with that - anywhere but Red Bull and Marko's grubby paws.
@@cjerpNo keep him away from Ferrari! Look what they are doing to Charles!
the only 2 reasons everyone is talking about him
1. His name is Kimi
2. He looks like Senna
He don’t have the Max mindset but good luck to him.
13/19 races definitely a Verstappen varient
Frederik Vesti isn't going to replace Hamilton or Russell so Mercedes are looking at their future with Anonelli. As a Mercedes fan, I'm hopeful he does well and doesn't fade like some of his forbears (Ocon / De Vries / Wehrlein)
I just hope him jumping the ladder doesn't bite back. Yeah, it can work (as Verstappen showed), but it can also be seriously detrimental if the jump doesn't work. It's quite prevalent in NASCAR especially, with young drivers getting rushed from the XFINITY series (basically NASCAR F2) into Cup as there's no restrictions, only for Cup to not pan out and their careers effectively stall out because 'you're only as good as your last race'.
sice when is there so many kimis ima kimi but from findland
There’s no chance he says no if Ferrari comes calling. So it’s a smart move from the Italian team to let a rival develop him when they could call him up any time they wish.
I would really hope to see this italian driver driver for a certain italian manufacturer in f1 with red cars
some get an exotic name, some a long one, some an ordinary one.
he got a fast one.
😂😂😂 MERC HAS NO SEAT AT WILLIAMS ANYMORE 😂😂😂 Williams ONLY uses their Williams Academy drivers. Merc needs to do their own business.
@@Redlingstein
If you actually think that Williams wouldn’t take Antonelli at Mercedes’ behest, you don’t understand how F1 works. Remind me what engines Williams race with again 🤔
@@jermaineayivoh8263 the engine means nothing, they have their own academy. They’ve made it clear that they’re not gonna be a Mercedes B team
Nobody's like Max.
I think the next Sainz at least can win the 2nd place in 2024 F2.
And let’s see if Kimi A. can win the title and out score 2nd place double or triple.
The next Lando Norris? LMAO! Norris isnt that guy
He just has the character of a Moto GP rider.
“Even lewis hamilton”. Ahah Lewis is history. This is Max era.
I'm a bit scared that he's going to dominate F2. Hopefully Prema gives Ollie a chance
my immediate question is what happens if he wins F2 next year?
Looks like piastri
Andretti 1978 World Champ qualifies as Italian
It funny that no one is the "next lewis" any more.
We’ve moved past that. Nobody is the next Schumacher either
if your fast enough, your old enough, should be interesting.
Next max😂? Ayayay.
Is it just me or does he looks like senna.
It might just to be too soon as he will burst into F1 when Max is still driving and as we see with current talent, Max will have them for breakfast. Sure, Max will be a bit older but looking at Hamilton, up 2 years ago he was still fighting for the title.
The next max will take about 30 to 40 years IMHO.
Pretty sure lots of people said the same about the next Michael and the next Lewis.
Also THE Kimi came into F1 with the least number of open wheel races under his belt IIRC
Ppl living in the past thinking Merc has anything to say at Williams 😂😂😂😂😂 Since the new investors and the Williams Academy, Williams has NO SEAT for Merc anymore! Williams has their own Williams Academy drivers. And Williams won’t give Merc insight into their car development so they won’t give a Merc driver a seat anymore. Ppl, get real.
STOP OVERHYPING HOLY SHIT THE GLAZING IS REAL
