I just want to thank you. I have always been worried that I wouldn't be good at cookie decorating, but I gave it a try this year and they have turned out so great! I actually did some marbling on large and mini round cookies and made them look like peppermints. Everyone said they looked so cute! I also made some reindeer cookies and christmas trees. (I followed your tutorial for making piping bags from parchment. They worked great once I got the hang of it.)
I really enjoy marbling. I did a boat load of Spiderweb Effect cookies for a Halloween Party last year. I used to work at a Bakery so it didn't take me very long. However, I actually learned how to do the Herringbone Effect thanks to this video!
Hello, part of me want to never try this, because I think I will completely fail to create these beautiful designs like you. I appreciate the swirl one at the end. It looks like a good way to practice icing control and still create beautiful, yummy cookies. thank you
Julia, Thanks so much for sharing all these techniques! I am really amazed! I just starting practicing marbling. I learned from your videos. Very easy to follow, very complete, just great! Thanks so much. Your work is GREAT! Very professional and well explained...I am just learning....Thanks!
Wow! I just came across your videos, and this technique is crazy! I invite your other viewers to come to my house and listen to the swearing and glass breaking while I try to learn this! *GIGGLE* Bravo!
Thank u sooo much ur such an inspiration to me I tried marbling with some christmas cookies to sharewith my family and they turned out so great I can wait to do it again thank u
When it comes to Brasil, surely be the subject of gastronomic half year until december 31. I excited I will follow all the tv and the net, because I´ll be working.
Hi dear Julia, lm an artist and stilist too from ltaly, lm so so enchanted from your works, hope to see u soon here, in ltaly :)) for know you , thanks for all those amazing works and sorry for my English :p
Julia I love your videos and I am excited to try making your cookies. My daughter is getting married and I thought I would like to make some cookies in advance. How long can you store these cookies? Do they freeze?
Do you have a tutorial on how to make the wax paper cones? I'd really appreciate it! I'm attempting to make these in a few days and I want them to be good :)
fantastic! also I had a thought that when you do the chocolate cake wraps, I think a stanley blade could be good to cut the section off at the very end as it is a very thin blade and could work well if not better?! Just an idea anyways :) thanks for above!
how did you get the RANDOM WALK like it is shown in the picture right before you do it with the white colour?? its so psychedelic and nice!!! keep up the good work ^^
Good day, i just want you to know that i love your videos, they are infomutive and thats good for me has i like to test my abilities and practising some of a little bit and loving me self for it. I just want to know how to make the royal icing for using ingredients and the method used. Thanks from amanda.
I made these cookies today using your recipe, they came out of the oven nice and crisp, marbled well for a first effort, but my question is are they supposed to soften as the icing sets? I'm from the UK so am unfamiliar with the correct texture of decorated cookies? I'm scared I've made a mistake?
+Julia M Usher The icing didn't seem super loose, I tried to achieve your top coat consistency however It took a long while for the icing to set fully. I think I do have a pretty humid environment, is there any tips on how to combat that? Thank you so much for your reply, you're an incredible artist!
beautiful! do you have a video/recipe for a delicious sugar cookie and the icing as well? my icing does NOT dry, my mom used to do it perfectly and I cant seem to replicate. they literally never dry, and the cookies themselves always have poor shaped edges :( anyone have advice?
I'm watching some of your basic videos again. It occurred to me that I don't know how you keep the tip of the parchment bags from crusting over when they are not in use. My tips will crust over very quickly if I don't keep them upright on a wet towel. How do you deal with parchment cones? Certainly not by putting them on top of anything wet, I assume.
I have links to the cookie recipes I have published for free viewing in the video descriptions under most of my cookie videos; you can also find them under "Blog/Recipes/Cookies" on my site www.juliusher.com. My sugar cookie recipe is only available for sale in my books and app. Links to those are in the video description as well. Thanks for your interest.
Perhaps your icing is too loose, or your drying conditions are too humid. Or perhaps you did not store your cookies in airtight containers after the icing dried?? There are so many reasons your cookies could soften. You will find my gingerbread cookie recipe on this channel (just search for "Cutout Cookie Gingerbread"). My sugar cookie recipes are only available for sale in my books and app, however.
Your videos are a fine example of good teaching. I appreciate your sharing your techniques with us.
All your videos are so amazing! I am truly inspired. Definitely going to try them at home.
